Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Forte ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 9 February 2016 18 Comments

tom-forte-s

Tom Ford has launched Neroli Portofino Forte, a new unisex fragrance in the Private Blend collection. Like the recently introduced Neroli Portofino Acqua, Neroli Portofino Forte is a flanker to 2007's Neroli Portofino.

Neroli Portofino Forte is a bold, exhilarating intensification of TOM FORD’s iconic Neroli Portofino. The classic Eau de Cologne is rarefied with rich, sublime depth as the double concentration of its floral core is lavishly heightened to utmost opulence. With the bold and impassioned introduction of coastal Italian woods and smooth leather in its composition, Neroli Portofino Forte marks an exquisite monument in the Neroli Portofino collection.

Bold. Sensuous. Opulent.

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Forte is available now at Harrods in the UK, in 50, 100 or 250 ml Eau de Parfum.

You’re not wrong , whereas Portofino acqua is an EDT and is cheaper than the standard private blend line , a 250ml decanter of this is £495 compared to £330 for the normal neroli Portofino.

It’s on the Harrods website currently but isn’t actually in store until around the 17th as there’s a champagne and nibbles launch party for it at Harrods on the evening of the 17th – in case anyone is thinking of making a trip to sample it and is disappointed !

PS. the champagne party is hush hush and invitation only for VIP customers so no free nibbles either for any riff raff who happen to be in the area ! Lol

‘rarefied’ — The PR department is convincing.

      You guys crack me up.
That said, I would like to sniff it, even if I have very little intention of paying for it….
There are other places I can go to get rarified neroli…

So this one will be even MORE than the original Neroli Portofino? Is there going to be a Private Blend Forte line with Forte prices? lol!

I think it goes both ways – acqua is cheaper than normal private blend , but in the same packaging, forte is much more expensive than the normal private blend – so they seem to be tiering the private blends now

Waiting for the ‘no more neroli portofino’ tag. Or are we going to get into NP Dreams, NP Sorbet, NP Noir, NP Nude and on and on and on… NP Oud?

I am glad that I bought Neroli Portofino when I was new enough to perfume not to realize how off the hook expensive it was for what it is. It smells so good to me, but I would never pay 300 for 100ml of it now. (Although there *are* other things I’d spend that much for, alas.) And now they want more for this new guy?
