Il Profumo Caramella d’Amore ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 15 January 2016 18 Comments

Il Profumo Caramella d’Amore

Italian niche line il Profumo will launch Caramella d’Amore, a new gourmand fragrance for women.

Il Profvmo’s Caramella d'Amore is a love song from a mother to her daughter. Formerly available exclusively at Il Porfvmo’s Parisian pop-up store at Le Meurice, this tender tribute is now available to all through Essenza Nobile. The perfume speaks to the invisible but taut band of love binding a mother and her daughter over the course of a lifetime. It is a fragrance that combines gentle, light-hearted notes with surprisingly cheeky accords to convey the twists and turns of this intimate relationship, as interpreted by Italian perfumer Silvana Casoli.

The notes include pistachio, caramelized walnuts & hazelnuts, popcorn, cotton candy and white violets.

Il Profumo Caramella d’Amore is available now for pre-order at Essenza Nobile in Germany, in the collector Murano edition as shown above (430 ml Eau de Parfum, €2800) or in regular il Profumo packaging (50 ml Eau de Parfum for €95 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum for €129).

That bottle looks like someone got a little too enamored of their new glue gun.

Ha! Doesn’t matter, we can’t afford that version anyway.

A pink tinted light bulb turned over and half covered with pomegranate seeds or “arils” as I have just learned is the correct term. Bloody awful! Heh-heh-heh!

I already know I would like this one! But out of my price range. Sample worthy if it hits Luckyscent though! 🙂

The price for the non-Murano bottle is not so bad…we’ll see what it is in US dollars when it gets here.

When I consider that bottle, all I can think of is a localised but virulent outbreak of chicken pox. It’s awful!

I know, it looks like shingles. :shudder:

My first thought when I saw that bottle, was a really bad outbreak of rosacea!

But you are right about the shingles – adorable hubby had that this summer – it was awful for him. Fortunately he is not experiencing the long lasting nerve pain that some people get afterwards, but he still has a scar that looks like a burn on his side.

Not appealing to me on any level…sugar is just not my thing…I sort of get a toothache twinge, just reading the notes…

But, I am sure there will be people who love it….

I think it sounds nice AND I like the bottle. Lucky for me the brand isn’t stocked in South Africa. Too many temptations already!

At least it’s not something we’ve seen a million times!

Just wanted to say I’m with you, Merlin–I like the bottle! Has a gaudy, vintage-y feel to me, like a fancy lady from the past would have it on her dressing table. 🙂

See this is why we have a lot of choices! One person’s pustule-laden light bulb is someone else’s perky pretty bauble. Enough to go around…

Perky describes it well 🙂 I’m staying away from the plague images!

Majorie Rose, it reminds me also of those absurdly OTT hats – those ones women wore that had flowers/fruit/birds on the top! I admit to also liking pink and red together. There is always something surprising beautiful and fresh about it.
