French niche line By Kilian has launched Royal Leather, a new fragrance for London (see also: By Kilian Single Malt).

In order to celebrate the opening of his Kilian boutique in London, Kilian Hennessy has created a unique fragrance: Royal Leather.

The fragrance opens with a surprising mix of hawthorn and black tea which gives the scent a warm and deep opening. The heart of the fragrance is a perfect balance between the soft and powdery notes of heliotrope flower and the rich and animal notes of leather. The fragrance then evolves into an intense woodsy composition thanks to the oud from Laos and the patchouli from Indonesia that gives the fragrance a dark yet intoxicating appeal.

By Kilian Royal Leather is £320 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at Harvey Nichols in the UK.
