Gucci Bamboo ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 22 April 2015 9 Comments

Gucci Bamboo

Gucci will launch Bamboo, a new woody floral fragrance for women. Bamboo was inspired by the brand's Bamboo bags (introduced in 1947) and will be fronted by actress Gal Gadot.

Mirroring the Gucci woman's confident persona, the fragrance is soft and intense at once.

The duality is expressed with strong notes that resonate through the heart and base. Deep Sandalwood, heady Tahitian Vanilla and unique grey Amber accords strike a complimentary contrast with the inherent femininity found in exotic floral notes of sensual Casablanca Lily, feminine Orange Blossom and delicate Ylang Ylang.

Gucci Bamboo will be available in 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products.

I haven’t adored anything Gucci, but I like Flora and Premiere, so I’ll give this one a try when I see it. I’ll have to wait and see the bottle and that cap in person, not sure what to think of it from the pic. I guess tha cap’s the bamboo part of it. Haha!

I do not think I like that bottle, but agree, will have to see it in person. Flora was good, but not fabulous. Did not care for Premiere. They need a winner!

I was expecting bamboo notes in this. Anyone else?

Hate to think fragrance companies have to be so literal with their names, but that could have been fun in this case.

They should have went with the trending green juice…

It seems like a bad fit. Neither the name or notes feels pink to me. If I had a say in this, I’d vote for a golden, pale orange color.
