Carolina Herrera CH Africa & CH Men Africa ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 18 March 2015 12 Comments

Carolina Herrera CH Africa & CH Men Africa

Carolina Herrera has launched CH Africa and CH Men Africa, a new duo of limited edition flankers to 2007’s Carolina Herrera CH and 2009's CH Men. The new fragrances promise "a journey through the African savannah".

CH Africa ~ "...reveals an early morning sunrise of orange tinged with violets. Rooibos tea migrates into a blend of vanilla and incense."

CH Men Africa  ~ "...catches the scent of mandarin and blue sage with a hint of green pimento, then drifts into a relaxing blend of black coffee and Atlas cedar wood."

Carolina Herrera CH Africa and CH Men Africa are available now at Emirates Duty Free, in 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

They do not sound particularly African, do they?

Atlas cedar from the Atlas Mountains in Morroco, I suppose. They sound nice enough, bottles are sort of cute.

It’s something a tourist would wear on safari?

Oh I see, from Morroco to South Africa, spanning the continent. By safari, presumably. There, we got it worked out!

OK.Well speaking as an African(Southern at least),what DOES make me happy is the press release FINALLY got the word ROOIBOS correct.Translates as Red(Rooi) Bush(Bos),for those who wondered.ROIBOOS does not exist in our language.Just saying….this has bugged me since the release of Au Parfumee au The Rouge.Yes I’m not french. If that spelling was incorrect:Sorry.Lol.

      Totally!

I’m preferring the sound of the woman’s one, which is unusual for me…

The bottle is ok, but I have to admit to liking the bottle design of the 212s, which looked especially good in lollipop pink. Since then they’ve all looked a little staid. Though others may describe that as more grown-up 😉

The camo design makes me so sad. Is this a reference to safaris or military conflict? Either way, sad.
