Demeter New Baby ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 14 March 2015 3 Comments

Demeter New Baby

Demeter has launched New Baby, the latest addition to their Fragrance Library.

New Baby is a light, bright, transparent and sheer fragrance, with slight lemony touches and an underlying creaminess. This is one of the most beautiful, and most complex, Classic fragrances Demeter has ever produced.

Despite its complexity, New Baby is in the Classic Library because it is linear, meaning that it expresses its nature immediately and does not change over time. That means in addition to being beautiful in its own right, it will also add depth and complexity to many personal blends.

New Baby has been a white whale of Demeter Fragrance Library, a fragrance that took 15 years to bring to market. It is almost a relief to launch this fragrance, a concept that someone asks us for each and every week.

Demeter New Baby is available in 15, 30 or 120 ml Cologne ($6 – $39.50) and in matching bath & body products.

I recently received a promotional email from Demeter headed by the words: “Introducing NEW BABY: Your Biological Clock Will Love It!” When prompted to explain why I was unsubscribing from the mailing list, I typed, “Sorry. Biological clock didn’t love it.”

I received that email, too. Hated it.

They used that line in their social media campaign as well. Sorry it’s offending you guys although I don’t really understand why (not saying you’re wrong, I just don’t get it — which is fine).
