Much prefer the amber balls…but, good grief!…they’re $220-$550 now!
Wow, are they? Then this one is a bargain. I think Jessica got to smell one at their last press event…
They really ought to release some Musk Balls one day. 😉
Are those amber balls very long lasting?
Jonas: they last a loooong time…a woman next to me at work had one for three years before she replaced the crystals! Every day the sun would hit the boule on the ledge next to her desk…and you could smell the amber. Still, I’m tempted to make my own boule on the potter’s wheel and just buy the crystals!
Wait…looking at the amber balls at Luckyscent, and no — the medium is $140. Maybe they’ve gone up since they got them in stock?
I just looked into this. Luckyscent has 20g, 50g, and 100g sizes with prices ranging from $90 to $220. The L’Artisan website has 100g, 200g, and 300g sizes with prices ranging from $220 to $550. For what it’s worth, they also have a 20g amber sachet for the budget conscious. It’s “only” forty dollars.
Ah, then possibly the smaller size is discontinued AND prices have gone up.
The European online store has all five sizes in stock.
I received an amber ball as a gift several years ago – it unfortunately broke at some later point. The amber-y flakes on the inside were quite redolent, and lasted a really long time. I wouldn’t refuse one, but really, they’re ceramic pomanders – no reason on earth they should be as expensive as they are.
Quite true that they’re a luxury item. I wouldn’t refuse one either 🙂
