Estee Lauder Pleasures Florals ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 February 2015 6 Comments

Estée Lauder Pleasures Florals

Estée Lauder will launch Pleasures Florals, a new limited edition fragrance for women. Pleasures Florals is a flanker to 1995's Pleasures (which marks its 20th anniversary this year) and follows recent flankers Pleasures Eau Fraîche, Pleasures Pop and Pleasures Flower.

In this new expression, the fragrance opens with Naartjie mandarin—a tangy sparkle of citrus—complimented [sic] by the juicy pulp of orange, capturing the scent of fruit that’s been warmed by sun and freshly picked from the tree. Delicate tagete blossoms balance the brightness of citrus with a crisp green aroma.

Uplifting honeysuckle, dewy water lily and jasmine combine in a playful way to form the heart of the fragrance. Two varietals of jasmine, the deeply dreamy and smooth jasmine sambac and the velvety petals of jasmine grandiflorum, add an unabashed and joyful femininity.

The final impression of pleasures Florals is a creamy mix of warm cedarwood, creamy Ambrox that’s reminiscent of blonde wood, and delicate musk.

Estée Lauder Pleasures Florals will debut in February, in 50 ($62) and 100 ($85) ml Eau de Parfum.

Could be very interesting. I love the original Pleasures, although it’s been ages since I have sniffed it last. I wonder if it is still the same or changed?

I really liked one flanker — Pleasures Delight — but most of them have not interested me. Last year’s bottle was pretty, this one is dull.

I agree this years is so dull and its for the big 20!
Last years looked and sounded so much “more” but even that was bland..
