The Vagabond Prince Swan Princess & Land of Warriors ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 9 December 2014 14 Comments

The Vagabond Prince Swan Princess & Land of Warriors

Niche line The Vagabond Prince has launched two new fragrances, Swan Princess and Land of Warriors. Both scents were developed by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour.

Swan Princess ~ "Built around a lavish cocoon of six beautifully distinct musks, Swan Princess proves itself worthy of its namesake, delivering an enchantingly soft musky-floral that instantly puts you under its spell." With pink pepper, aldehydes, citrus, bergamot, jasmine, gardenia, lily of the valley, mimosa, iris, rose, peony, musk, sandalwood and vetiver.

Land of Warriors ~ "...Bertrand Duchaufour has stunned us yet again with his inventiveness, gifting Land of Warriors with a unique vertical blend of leather accords that emerge across every stage of the fragrance, paying tribute to multiple facets of this versatile, powerful material." With angelique seed, violet leaf, cucumber, tomato leaf, blackcurrant leaf, oakwood, frankincense, davana, cistus, saffron, nutmeg, oregano, castoreum, ambergris, styrax and tar.

The Vagabond Prince Swan Princess and Land of Warriors are available now at Luckyscent, $200 each for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

That one bottle looks a whoooole lot like the original Anaïs Anaïs bottle.

I like the red bottle, and the sound of the juice, but not $200.00 worth of like, I have to say, unless that design is inlaid there with mother of pearl and onyx or something…guess I need to adjust my idea of what $200.00 gets you these days.

Almost nothing is $200 worth of like for me anymore…

The first one, Enchanted Forest, is really really nice, and I love the folkloric bottles. But yeah, $200 is a whole lot of money!

It is. I do love that red bottle, but luckily a Bertrand Duchaufour leather is not massively tempting to me.

Never tried anything from them, and the price is sort of crazy, but heck, I love these bottles!

CRAP. I see that I might have to test these, at least.

(Sadly, my 10ml decant of Enchanted Forest, which I like very much… but then I *really* like blackcurrant, even with all its, um, inappropriate behavior… evaporated badly over about six months. It’s down to 4ml now, and I don’t think I’ll buy another decant.

Enchanted Forest was just ok to me..just not my type of scent I guess. Bottles are great but will probably pass on these.

Enchanted Forest is just wonderful, and both of these look definitely worth samples if not at least decants. I’m wondering how well they’d layer together?

I loved Enchanted Forest and will have to sample these two. But they could make me really happy if they offered a coffret with all three in mini size. And I think the tiny bottle would look adorable in my collection.

Land of Warriors sounds like a hot mess to me, but then again, I guess you’re not hit with everything at once …

The Enchanted Forest bottle is adorable, and these are cute.
