Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2014, part 28

Posted by Robin on 8 November 2014 6 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector items from Giorgio Armani, Serge Lutens and Cacharel, plus a new rollerball format from Malin + Goetz.

Giorgio Armani Rose D'Arabie Éclat de Pierres

From Giorgio Armani, Rose D'Arabie in the Éclat de Pierres edition, in black lacquer with Swarovski crystals.  €600 at El Corte Ingles in Spain. (via vogue.es)

Serge Lutens L'Orpheline

From Serge Lutens, an engraved bottle for L'Orpheline. (via madame.lefigaro.fr)

Cacharel Anaïs Anaïs 30 ans

From Cacharel, Anaïs Anaïs in a limited edition celebrating the fragrance's 30th anniversary. In 50 ml Eau de Toilette, €46. (via madame.lefigaro.fr)

Malin Goetz rollerballs

From Malin + Goetz, three of the brand's perfume oils in a new rollerball format: Dark Rum, Cannabis and Petitgrain, $50 each for 9 ml at Malin + Goetz.

I love the L’Orpheline bottle! A full 1ml sample later and I’m still not sure what to think of it.

I don’t love it. Would love to have a full set of the SL engraved bottles though!

Gorgeous bottle. Just as well I haven’t tried it, I guess.

Hard to believe that I have loved Anaïs Anaïs for 30 years! I haven’t worn it in quite some time, and may have to buy it.

At the risk of stating the obvious, you should try some on in the store before committing, because like just about everything else, Anaïs Anaïs has most definitely been reformulated, and it probably doesn’t smell the way you remember it smelling 30 years ago. (My mother fell in love with Lancôme Hypnôse a few years back: I bought her a replacement bottle for Mother’s Day this year and she was disappointed that it smelled very little like the previous bottle — and that scent is less than a decade old.)
