This garden looks like a little slice of Nirvana to me. I love gardens that are not overly worked over/fake looking, and this one certainly does not fall into that category.

Isn’t that lovely? I wonder who owns it.

I think I’ll apply for “caretaker”…? Or even family retainer! Weeder?

Not a bad idea! Plus would recoup the cost of all those candles 😉

Are those statues on some of the bottles? I’ll check later but have to dash right now…

Have now looked at and looked up some of the labels. I don’t think any of them are exact replicas, but there is something of the feel of the labels (or vice versa).

Eau d’Elide has the head of a faun, which could be a “real” faun or a the head of a bust or statue. Virgilio has a shepherd leaning against a tree, which is a bit like the leaning statue in the film. Near the shepherd is a bust on a pillar. Can’t see it clearly but it looks like possibly a faun head. No faun heads in the film, but certainly other classical looking sculpture. We hear running water in the film; there is a fountain on Eau Lavande.

In any case, a delightful film and garden, and a perfect ad for the brand.

And of course there was a fig tree for Philosykos, although what you see on the bottle are the fruits rather than leaves.
