Roja Parfums Taif Aoud ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 8 September 2014 4 Comments

Roja Parfums Taïf Aoud

British niche line Roja Parfums has launched Taïf Aoud, a new fragrance exclusive to Fortnum & Mason in London.

British master perfumer Roja Dove has created this very special perfume exclusively for Fortnum & Mason. The fragrance is constructed around the rose, the emblem of England, as a nod to the regal approval of our store since its opening in 1707. This rich, soft and sparkling fragrance opens with bergamot, developing into a warm heart around the fragrant Taif Rose of Saudi Arabia, jasmine, ylang ylang, geranium, cassis and clove. The lingering base notes encompass patchouli, aoud and sensual vanilla.

Roja Parfums Taïf Aoud is available in 50 ml Parfum, £395, at Fortnum & Mason.

    Rose + Oud – very original !

I’ll try it, but I’m not sure anything could persuade me to buy another Rose oud at £395 for 50ml as several other brands have covered this for me at a fraction of this price

Apparently there is no limit to the number of rose + oud perfumes the market can bear 🙂

I guess they didn’t want to bother Ms. Pilkington with adopting her Ta’if as the symbolic English rose! Ta’if is one of the greatest rose fragrances. Ever. It dethroned Nahema on my HG list!!
