Etat Libre d’Orange Rien Intense Incense ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 1 September 2014 14 Comments

Etat Libre d'Orange Rien Intense Incense

French niche line Etat Libre d’Orange has launched Rien Intense Incense, a new flanker to 2006's Rien.

Darker. Richer. Stronger.

This dramatic fragrance has a powerful sensuality, an unforgettably strange and wonderful potency. Rien Intense Incense is a challenge to the senses.

Apply with caution.

The notes feature incense, rose, leather, cistus, oakmoss, patchouli, amber, cumin, black pepper and aldehydes.

Etat Libre d'Orange Rien Intense Incense is available in 100 ml, €150.

The original is so strong- and I am a huge fan- that I’m really curious to see what they have done with this. I mostly feel that they should have left the original alone.

I guess that explains the ‘apply with caution’?

I noticed that too! It’s my only fragrance that I think does better dabbed than sprayed, and I adore the stuff. My guess is this is not a fragrance you like?

Sad but true that I can hardly remember it…which probably means I didn’t care for it, yes!

Just sniffed this a couple of days ago from the tester bottles (not on skin) and it really does make the original seem mild!!! Not testing this during the summer though

I love the original but can’t imagine a stronger version being wearable. Guess what I’ll be wearing this evening? I always forget to wear Rein in the heat but it does nicely.

“Rien Intense Incense: When Two Washes Aren’t Enough”

Very curious to try it, although a 50 ml bottle would be nice if it turned out to be love at first sniff.

I’m in. I could easily blind buy this. Rien with incense would be amazing.

I loved the original. I’ll stand on line to try the sequel/flanker.

Etat doing Flankers, sign of the times!!!

I think “Plus que Rien” would be a more interesting name and mantain the irony of the original name.

I’m an ELDO fan and a Rien fan. Did not think it possible. ELDO jumped the shark. I’m gonna go have a cry.
