Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2014, part 17

Posted by Robin on 28 August 2014 10 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special editions from Loewe, Hermès, Serge Lutens and Azzaro.

Loewe Más allá de la Realidad perfume bottles

From Loewe, the Más allá de la Realidad collection, with seven fragrances in bottles inspired by Surrealism and decorated by Spanish artist Carlos Buendía. L de Loewe, Aire de Loewe, Gala de Loewe, Gala de Día Loewe, Esencia Femme Loewe, Loewe pour Homme and Esencia Loewe, 40 ml each; Buendía's drawings are shown below. (via bellezapura)

Hermès Eau des Merveille 10th anniversary

From Hermès, a collector edition of Eau des Merveilles: "L'Eau des Merveilles celebrates its 10th birthday in dazzling style! A crescent of light cradles the magnifying-glass bottle and invites us into a new waking dream among the stars." In 100 ml Eau de Toilette, £97 at Harrods in the UK.

Serge Lutens L'Orpheline, engraved bottle

From Serge Lutens, an engraved bottle of the new L'Orpheline. Due to launch in November, 15 numbered bottles were made. (via firstluxe)

Azzaro Chrome United limited edition

From Azzaro, a limited edition of Chrome United: "Introducing CHROME UNITED Collector Edition! The same great scent of CHROME UNITED by Azzaro in a limited edition bottle, dressed for the holidays in a translucent metallic finish." $79 for 100 ml at Macy's.

Is it just me, or does the Hermes bottle look the same? I can’t tell it apart from the original.

It looks like the le bottle has a silver side or bezel-like thing.

Yep. It’s not the most fantastic collector bottle they’ve done for Merveilles.

Serge just produced 15 bottles? Seriously? No doubt they’ll each cost a gazillion dollars, right? *sigh*

I would not be mad about a thinkpiece about the 15 people who end up buying one, and their reasons.

You know, I have no idea what the engraved export bottles usually go for. It can’t be as bad as the engraved bell jars…

Azzaro “dressed up for the holidays. . .” ?!
Ack! I’m barely coming to grips with the end of the summer and the start of another school year!

Those large-wheeled bicycles remind me the 1960s TV show The Prisoner. Such good show. The remake in the early 2000s with Jim Caviezel was an abomination. Yeah, Kindcrow. Tell us how you really feel.

Seems like my righteous indignation over The Prisoner remake led me to skip basic words like “of” and “a.” Or, it could be sleepiness … 🙂
