Tara Reid Shark by Tara ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 31 July 2014 31 Comments

Shark by Tara

Tara Reid, actress and star of Sharknado 2: The Second One, has launched Shark by Tara. Really.

Shark by Tara is a light and refreshing perfume perfect for day-to-day wear. It also incorporates a plethora of "lavender" colored flowers, which is Tara’s favorite color, making them a true fit for Shark by Tara.

Shark by Tara perfume is a complex scent with three different levels of nodes that embrace our fresh, light, and fun feel. Our top-level node is clad with iced mint, violet and lemon, while our middle node is complete with jasmine, tuberose and muguet. The last dry node is cool blue rose, amber and musk.

“We hope you all have as much fun wearing it as we did making it!”

Tara Reid Shark by Tara is $24.95, unknown size and concentration.

Well my first thought was this is a sure sign of the impending apocalypse but the logo is smart. Will the flanker be called “Shark Bite” and be tinged with blood? You’d think this would have been an opportunity for an aquatic/marine scent. I wonder if the copywriter had a “code in the node” while writing this.

Gosh, I hope Shark Bite is next. The whole thing is delicious, including the movie (which I’d never heard of).

My first thought was: O-M-G! She’s still around.
      LOL
Let the showering of sharks begin!

Three different levels of nodes for under $30 is a bargain!

Nice! I know a couple friends who are getting this for a birthday/Christmas present. *evil chuckle* I had to remind myself that it isn’t April Fools’ Day when I saw the title of this article. I don’t know which is more awesome–this or the Flame fragrance from Burger King that came out a couple years ago. lol

This is more awesome, just because it’s in conjunction with “Sharknado 2: The Second One”, which is so entirely ‘clad with’ awesomeness it’s hard to beat. And you could give the scent with the DVD, which is the perfect present for anybody. Throw in the Sharknado action figure!

I’m not sure that muguet is a good fit for this franchise.

Since I’d never heard of the movie, or the original Sharknado movie, or Tara Reid, it’s quite possible the whole thing is a very elaborate joke aimed particularly at gullible perfume bloggers!

I’m sorry to hear about Tara Reid’s three levels of nodes. According to “Pitch Perfect”, they can really mess up your singing career. 😉

OK, this actually makes me laugh. Especially since the whole kitschy Sharknado movie is done with a wink.

Maybe the copywriter did not know how to spell “note”? If you replace node(s) with note(s), it makes more sense.

Oh, but you are raining on my parade! I will be heartbroken if there are not nodes.

But also, you couldn’t have a top note “clad with” something, right? That would not make sense either.

In general, I’d think you’d want to have a doctor look at any unusual outcropping of nodes…..all three of them. 😉

I was going to have a drink this evening, but I must have already had something to make me hallucinate. Is this for real? I think I am in a parallel NST universe that is only blogging the absurd. As my husband and I will say: je suis perplexe.

I love that they did a Shark perfume that has absolutely nothing to do with sharks, tornados, blood, chainsaws, the ocean, or anything else related to the Sharknado films (unless you count fun). A perfume called Shark that’s based on Tara’s favorite color, lavender, and embraces a fresh, light, and fun feel. Yes, by all means, have fun wearing it UNTIL A GIANT SHARK LANDS ON YOU!

I know it’s too much to hope, but wouldn’t it be awesome if Ian Ziering fronted the corresponding masculine, which would be named ‘Nado and have marine and gasoline notes! 🙂

Oh, my, I laughed until I had tears in my eyes after reading this and the comments. I see a big opportunity for flankers–after Shark Bite, there could be Jump the Shark, Jaws the fragrance, and Shark Skin.
