Fendi Furiosa ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 5 June 2014 24 Comments

Fendi Furiosa

Fendi will launch Furiosa, a new perfume for women styled as "the essence of wild femininity". It will be the brand's first feminine pillar since 2013's L'Acquarossa.

Furiosa will be fronted by model Kasia Smutniak. The notes include bergamot, violaciocca (stock) and amber.

Fendi Furiosa will debut in September in some markets, but will not be distributed worldwide until 2015.  I will update with sizes, concentration and more detailed notes when I can.

Update: additional notes include pink pepper, jasmine, gardenia, incense, gaïac and amber. It will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and matching body products.

Hmm… the essence of wild femininity in a bottle that either looks like a grenade, or a turtle…

I thought it was meant to be an animal print of some sort, but ?

The too-perfect placement of those “jewels” is killing it. In a bad way (for me). Reminds me of the Bedazzler.

      Fancy Turtle, indeed.

I was very interested to see the link in your twitter feed to Luca Turin’s positive review of Fan di Fendi Leather Essence. He gave it 4 stars and compared it to Lubin Korrigan, which he likes even better. I’m starting to test Korrigan, which smells good so far.

I really didn’t like Fan di Fendi, and my taste is very different than Luca Turin’s….Korrigan was ok but is not a favorite, will be really surprised if I like Fan di Fendi Leather. But you never know!

I usually like what LT likes, but then you and he both appreciate Fracas, which I don’t like at all, and I’m totally with you on Hiris (IIRC). I try to sample what each of you likes, but it all comes down to that moment of truth on the skin.

That’s useful then… I would say our tastes intersect only rarely, and he is often concerned with technical aspects that simply don’t interest me. But love reading his reviews!

After the last two releases, I don’t know if I should get my hopes up, I was not a fan, esp. of the Fan di Fendi.
If they want the essence of wild femininity, why not re-release the original in a new bottle? That was plenty wild and exotic.

    *removing grumpy pants now* 🙂

        Robin,
Exactly! Theorema, Asja and Life Essence (and the original Fendi) were such beauties, now discontinued.

We will have to wait now for the Furiosissima (Super Furious) flanker, the more intense version lol And the light version, Nervosa (Angry) 🙂

I’m looking forward to sniffing this one. Stock flowers have a spicy carnation vibe. My birthday bouquet from my husband included stock. They smelled wonderful and I commented to my husband that I’d like a perfume with a stock note.

Oh, and that bottle is ugly, IMHO.

It DOES remind me of that bottle, but the Radiance one uglier, I think.
