Richmond X by John Richmond

Milan-based designer John Richmond will launch Richmond X, a new fragrance duo for women and men, next month. Richmond X is also the name of the brand's youth-oriented contemporary clothing line; the fragrances will be fronted by Belén Rodríguez and Stefano De Martino.

Richmond X Woman ~ a fruity floral with apple, raspberry, osmanthus, freesia, violet, heliotrope, ambery wood, cedar and vanilla.

Richmond X Man ~ With bergamot, lemon, black pepper, violet leaves, lavender, lavandin, pineapple, cashmeran, patchouli, tonka bean, cedarwood and cypriol.

Richmond X Woman and Richmond X Man will be available in 40 or 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

You know, there’s an awful lot of nudity in perfume ads, but this one is particularly egregious.

I don’t think she knows him. Call the police.

I’d say the opposite, looks like she really knows him. Almost porn nowadays, ugh.

Seriously? The look on her face is saying ‘I knew I shouldn’t have left the taser at home’.

This could be a Jersey Shore L’Eau ad!

What does it say about me that I noticed their tattoos before I noticed their nudity? I actually had to scroll back up to look again and was like “Well, will you look at that? They sure are…nekkid.” Am I that jaded?

The tattoos are the only interesting things about that ad, that’s why!

And let’s face it – all time greatest partial nudity fragrance ad is still the Charles Bronson Japanese tv ad for Mandom. Robin, you really need to do a yearly screening post of this so we always remember that once upon a time fragrance ads were actually awesome.

Well then, speaking of their tattoos–is that a matching shoulder tattoo that they have? What does it say about *me* that I think that’s a TERRIBLE idea?! You can always get divorced, but body art lasts forever. . . !

It says you’re a sensible person? I am a fan of tattoos and have a few myself, and I think it’s a terrible idea too. People who do stuff like that end up on shows like “Tattoo Nightmares”. 😛

Sensible, not cynical? Well, that’s a relief! 😉

These perfumes are named after their youth oriented clothing line. Oh my, I’m so happy I’m not a parent.
Have you noticed that most of the naked women in these ads never look like they’re enjoying themselves. Was it the ad for Skin on Skin where the model looked like she was thinking of England? Is the blank distant stare the new sexy?

Yeah, I have a carded sample of Skin on Skin that has that image on it, and I don’t get it. She doesn’t look like she’s into that guy at all.
