Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2014, part 5

Posted by Robin on 19 March 2014 8 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special editions from Ferragamo, Viktor & Rolf, Estee Lauder and Rochas.

Ferragamo Signorina mini fragrance

From Salvatore Ferragamo, the Mini Fragrance Collection, featuring 20 ml bottles of Signorina Eau de Parfum, Signorina Eau de Toilette (shown), and the new Signorina Eleganza. The bottle designs were inspired by spinning tops. £30 each at Debenhams or House of Fraser in the UK.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose 2014

From Viktor & Rolf, the 2014 edition of Flowerbomb La Vie en Rose, which may or may not be the same juice they've been using since 2009: "This year, Flowerbomb reinvents itself to celebrate the fifth anniversary of “La Vie en Rose”. The sparkling limited-edition eau de toilette is a fresher, lighter version of the iconic Flowerbomb fragrance, with bursts of nectar bringing an explosion of happiness. The fragrance is presented in a beautiful pearly, luminescent bottle." $95 for 50 ml Eau de Toilette, at Sephora. Also at Nordstrom, where the bottle looks much less iridescent.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse, bow travel edition

From Estee Lauder, Modern Muse in the travel-sized Bow Edition: "Be an inspiration. Experience the fragrance that captures your style, your confidence, your creative spirit in a collectible Eau de Parfum Spray. Petite enough to go around town—or around the world. An alluring contrast of sparkling florals and sleek, sensual woods." 20 ml Eau de Parfum, $48 at Bloomingdales.

Eau de Rochas limited edition

From Rochas, a limited edition of Eau de Rochas, with packaging designed by illustrator Aurore de La Morinerie. In 50 ml Eau de Toilette, due to launch in April. (via magazine-avantages.fr)

Hmm, not sure about the Modern Muse presentation. If this was a Project Runway episode and I was Heidi Klum, Estee Lauder would be the first designer to go home 🙁
The “bow” looks awkward. On the other hand, I like the fancy box and gold cap on the Ferragamo edition.
Ferragamo has my vote for this week’s winner!

      I’ll vote for Ferragamo too!

And agree on the EL … not a good look, although would like to see it in person.

Indeed, I do love the special edition small bottles — five or six grouped together in a small tray on my vanity, I enjoy just looking at them. True tiny mini 10 ml bottles are TOO small, full bottles of the expensive stuff really deserve to be put away somewhere cool and dark and unfortunately out of sight.

Wish more of the legendary scents would put out more 15 to 20 ml bottles — that seems just the right size for me … not the bare ‘travel size’ roller tubes, but the real designer bottles. They charge enough of a premium for small sizes that they really should put the juice in quality designed bottles, too…..

Totally agree! The rollerballs are usually ugly, & don’t like using rollerballs anyway.

Idk if the bottle for the Rochas is different? Or is it just the packaging? Rochas would get my vote out of those nonetheless. Not a fan of the others. Esp the Estee…what on earth? I would almost wanna try to fly that thing..perhaps a good idea for a kite design..not a bottle though.

The coloring on the Rochas bottle is also different.

Exactly! Reads more like wings than a bow.

The mini Ferragamos are so adorable! I do hope they come to the US.
