The Fiat 500 La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain ~ new car

Posted by Robin on 27 January 2014 23 Comments

The Fiat 500 La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain, outside of car

Fiat has teamed up with Guerlain to offer a limited edition car, the Fiat 500 La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain. In addition to necessities like an engine and tires and airbags and whatnot, the car includes three 100 ml bottles of Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire (in Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and the new Eau de Parfum Couture) and a fully-stocked makeup kit. Oh, you also get a keychain with four charms.

The silhouette by artists Kuntzel+Deygas, originally used to advertise the fragrance, appears on the outside of the car and again on the dashboard, shown below.

The Fiat 500 La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain comes in "Funk White" (pearlized) or "Crossover Black" (metallic), as a sedan or convertible, and runs around €15,700. 250 were made.

I don’t know – the whole concept seems quite….Parisian Barbie, somehow. When my husband and I went looking for my current car, the salesman actually asked me if my husband was buying this as a gift for me and on the test drive, did I cook much (not that we were giving any impression of either in front of – or not in front of – him). I shudder to think what that guy would have said if he had one of these to sell and I was looking to test drive one.

Yes! Hard to believe it’s only in black & white.

They must be actually trying to sell some!! I can’t imagine there’s a huge amount of people wanting a pink Fiat 500. There’s a pink car I see driving around my town, but it’s basically done up to advertise someone’s anti-gravity stripper pole exercise business or something along those lines.

And the interior is actually a pretty sharp looking black & white. Still, guessing they’d have trouble finding more than 250 people who want a perfume logo on their car 🙂

I must stay that the graphic of La Petite Robe Noir add is one of the most clever and catchy i’ve seen in years in perfume marketing.
It’s just adorable. Modern, fresh, elegant.
I can totally see a Guerlain customized Fiat 500. It just fits like a tee!

It is a very catchy graphic, agree! Don’t really want it on my car, but surprised they aren’t putting it on more consumer items.

Really? Because the one sitting down looks almost exactly like the nude silhouette that graces the mud-flaps of trucker cabs. Just add the feathers LOL

This is actually not the first time Fiat has collaborated with another house. Their previous 500 with Gucci was really nice. I would kill to have one but I was nowhere old enough to have a car 🙁
I lol’ed a little at the airbags. “I know you won’t care so much when you crash but hey, we customised them too! (Imagine them smelling like La Petite Robe Noire when they pop :P)”
I would want some customised “black lace” seatbelt if they are doing something special with the interior.

Saw that this morning, but missed it when it came out! Don’t think it was for a Gucci perfume, though? But here it is, for anyone who wants to see it:

Gucci colors are soooooo ugly, imo.

    Robin,
I smell a Saturday poll here.
If you could customize a car for your favorite fragrance, how would that look?
Year, make, model. Colors, add ons, what comes standard?

Great strategy of the FIAT brand and Guerlain, Robin. Some women will look for this car with more desire.

    Best regards from Brasil.

I drive a Fiat 500 and now I’m going to hate it for being plain red and boring and not having a load of La Petite Robe Noire swag inside 🙁

Hey, paint a perfume logo on it…with red, the possibilities are endless! The swag apparently you’ll have to buy yourself 😉

A limited edition car pairs up with mass market fragrance. I’m still looking for a Penelope Pitstop car (did I just date myself?).

Every car should come complete with perfume and make-up! 😉
