Revenge Double Infinity ~ (not) new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 January 2014 9 Comments

Revenge Double Infinity

Last summer (I am late again!) Revenge, the ABC television series, launched Double Infinity, the show's debut fragrance. Double Infinity was made under licensing arrangements with Lux Beauty Group.

The creation of Double Infinity was built upon Revenge’s twisted tale of passion, suspense and ultimate redemption. [...] "We're thrilled to provide fans with a unique opportunity to connect with the luxurious Hamptons lifestyle personified in the show. We hope the Double Infinity collection resonates not only with core fans but that the scent will appeal to all women who identify with the “sweet smell of revenge,”" added Adam Sanderson SVP, Franchise Management, Disney/ABC Television Group.

The notes include mint, lemon, orange, grapefruit, aquatic accord, jasmine sambac, peony, pink pepper, apple, cedar, labdanum, agave, amber and musk.

Revenge Double Infinity can be found at Kohls, in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum or 100 ml Hair Perfume.

OK. OK. I will take the bait. What a silly name. How can you make infinity larger?

I am assuming it is some sort of reference to something in the show?? No idea.

Yes, as the requisite ‘Revenge’ dork here, I can confirm that the ‘double infinity’ sign is a recurring image/theme/symbol in the show… It was a sign the protagonist’s father drew to symbolize his love for her, before he got framed as a terrorist. 20 years on, it now apparently symbolizes Emily’s undying mission of REVENGE!!!!! LOL.

Thanks so much for the explanation!

I don’t know what revenge is supposed to smell like, but, in to put it in culinary terms, it is a dish best served cold (from the old Klingon proverb — yeah, yeah, I know that the phrase is far older than a Star Trek movie) 🙂

I want a fragrance for the “ultimate redemption” part 🙂

This is quite strange to me. “Mistresses” and “Scandal” are also hit shows on ABC. Are these dramas next to have their own fragrances? Huge fan of all these shows, but not really interested to smell like them. Ohhh, I wonder what notes “Mistresses” would have. Probably not sugar and spice and everything nice! (LOL)

There are still relatively few television shows w/ fragrances…actually sort of surprised we don’t see more of them.
