Posted by Robin on 2 January 2014 9 Comments

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rosé

Carolina Herrera has launched 212 VIP Rosé, a new fragrance for women. 212 VIP Rosé is a flanker to 2010's 212 VIP, which was a flanker to 1997′s 212. The fragrances are inspired by the New York City party scene.

212 VIP Rosé features notes of pink champagne, peach blossom and soft woods.

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rosé is available in 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

    A rose flanker… How innovative.

Well, strictly speaking this one is not rose, but pink champagne…

    i quite liked 212 VIP

it was a rather nondescript soft vanilla, but vanilla is generally a pleasing note, when not too synthetic

Ack, can’t remember if I smelled it. I did not like 212.

I would like to try an ‘accessible’ champagne note. Yvresse does not work for me, and neither does Vraie Blonde. Wonder how they will do champagne without a lot of ‘old-fashioned’ aldehydes.

Perhaps they just use old-fashioned aldehydes 🙂

That would be nice, but I was gifted, and used up, the very first CH 212 before my obsession kicked in, and I just can’t imagine 212 ever making much use of aldehydes. They all have these very cute futuristic capsule bottles and I can’t imagine them ever going for real sophistication. Given that, I did enjoy the original, at the time.

I think that would be like a DKNY Apple with oak moss:)
