Mary Greenwell will launch Fire and Cherry, two new fragrances, in March. Fire and Cherry join existing perfumes Plum and Lemon (shown above), and will have orange and red packaging respectively.
Fire ~ a unisex fragrance developed by perfumer François Robert. The notes include pepper, nutmeg, bergamot, grapefruit, rose, jasmine, saffron, tuberose, osmanthus, olibanum, cardamom, amber, leather, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, teak, cedarwood, oud and musk.
Cherry ~ with blackberries, cherry, bergamot, jasmine, muguet, vanilla, tonka bean, patchouli, licorice and musk.
Mary Greenwell Fire and Cherry will debut at Harrods in the UK, in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Plum is very good. Lemon did not rock my world but it was still worth having a bit of……
I am eager to try Fire ……Cherry scares me….because in my small brain cherry tends to equal cough syrup-slash-vomit. And that’s a hard legacy to overcome.
Oh, I should probably confess that when I first saw the post— I thought the fragrance was called “Fire and Cherry” and was really struggling with the concept. *of course, it’s early and I’m just sitting down with coffee right now….I will likely become more lucid as the morning wears on.*
I like Plum, too, both the way it smells and its usefulness in projecting a modern, ladylike aura as needed.
Also, same here with the title, LOL. My undercaffeinated brain was struggling to think of that flaming dessert. So, if you layer these two, do you get cherries brulee? 😉

I remember going to an ice cream shop on vacation once as a kid and being surprised by a cherry flambee sundae–I wasn’t expecting my ice cream to be on fire (it was a sugar cube that had the cherry brandy poured over it)

Hot fudge sundaes were the most extreme ice cream in my childhood.
You know I love Plum… but Cherry sounds just dreadful to me. And Fire doesn’t sound at all like my sort of thing.
Now I just wish they’d sell me a replacement bottle of Plum without the ridiculously heavy cap.

That cap is a weapon. One time (not at band camp) I was making a few samples, bumped the cap; it rolled off the desk and landed on my foot!!! Thank goodness I had sneakers on or I’d probably have broken something.

I liked Plum – but I have still not managed to try Lemon. I have searched but it seems strangely hard to find in London. I hope the whole range appears in March.
I tried it briefly, would agree with Daisy’s assessment above.
Sweaty lemons…. and if you still want to try it—- maybe contact their website and inquire about samples. Who knows, maybe they’ll send you some. I guess the worst they can do is ignore you.
If you were on this side of the pond, I’d send you a sample.
oh– if they are going to debut the new ones at Harrods— I would bet that they’ll have the other two right there available as well…you’ll have to let us know if you get your nostrils on these.
I *almost* like Plum. I love the top notes, but then it fades and becomes just “meh” to me. Didn’t try Lemon, but I would sniff other MG scents if I encountered them.
I’d love to try both – Cherry, in particular, sounds like it could awful or amazing. I’ll watch for them at LS.
