Martha Stewart, of all people, has branched out in her Living magazine to beauty, makeup and this month an article on fragrance. I can’t recall off the top of my head but I believe it was fall fragrances and may have been a two pager? Surprised I remembered it but I’m just not use to seeing that type of content in her Living mag.

I thought that the Martha Stewart Living perfume article, “Top Notes,” was actually surprisingly good given the context. They mention Modern Muse and Down Town as you would expect, but also suggest Tom Ford Shanghai Lily and Terry De Gunzburg Ombre Mercure. The magazine also has scent strips for Calvin Klein Euphoria and Euphoria Men.

House Beautiful actually has some interesting scent coverage this month too. There is an article, “On the Scent” in which scents are matched to rooms. “Charlotte Moss and the Art of Living” mentions scent as being a crucial element in good home design. As an added bonus, the collage of inspirational objects with the editor’s letter includes Frederic Malle’s Noir Epices and Beth Webb’s “What’s On Your Vanity” describes Frederic Malle’s Portrait of a Lady as “exotic yet classic.”
