Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2013, part 23

Posted by Robin on 29 October 2013 17 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Hermès 24 Faubourg limited edition

From Hermès, a special edition of 24 Faubourg: "A beautiful, limited-edition bottle of 24 Faubourg eau de parfum natural spray by Hermès is filled with the classic woody, floral and amber scent you've come to know and love." $169 at Nordstrom, size unknown.

Moschino 30th Anniversary Edition

From Moschino, a special edition of their signature fragrance, celebrating the brand's (not the perfume's!) 30th anniversary. In 75 ml Eau de Toilette. (via elle.it)

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir special edition holiday 2013

From Jo Malone, Pomegranate Noir in a special holiday edition: "This Christmas Jo Malone London add a little magic and sparkle by presenting a limited-edition collector's bottle in touches of rose gold so smooth, weighty and joyfully festive." £85 for 100 ml at Selfridges in the UK.

Loewe Gala AndalusiLoewe Esencia Andalusi

From Loewe, the 2013 Andalusi collection of special editions. Shown are Esencia Homme and Gala; there are also special bottles for Gala de Dia, Solo Loewe, Esencia Femme, L de Loewe and Loewe Homme. At Bodybell in Spain.

Dolce Gabbana The One, Gold and Platinum limited editions 2013

From Dolce & Gabbana, new limited editions of The One, in "Limited Edition Gold" for women (50 or 75 ml Eau de Parfum) and "Limited Edition Platinum" for men (50 or 100 ml Eau de Toilette). At Harrods in the UK.

The 24 and the green Loewe are alright, I’ll pass on the bows though.

I really like all those Loewe bottles…they did a great job. The Solo Loewe one is really nice too.

Let me just say that bows on bottles may be somewhat eye catching….but they get in the way….always. They fall off when you take the top off, then they get all bunched up when you put the cap back on… and after a while they just seem a little tired and raggedy. And really; slap a bow on it and call it “special” or “limited edition”?
I have a whole hugmungous storage tub of leftover ribbons from way back in the days when my daughter had extremely long hair and liked various and elaborate ribbons that I would make….I’ll send anyone a handful of ribbon lengths and you can make ALL your bottles special editions!

It is also supposed to be “special” because of the “rose gold” finish, but in all truth the bow obscures the cap anyway so it’s not all that noticeable.

yeah, yeah …rose gold ….I get it….be still my fluttering heart.

I seriously doubt this is going to have anyone rushing to buy.

If only it came with a charm bracelet and a vinyl flower. . . that would make it really special!

The 24 bottle is nice, but I prefer the looks of the original.

The original is more romantic … & probably a better fit w/ the scent? They’ve done some really great LE bottles for 24 F before, but this isn’t the best.

I agree. None of the limited edition 24 Faubourg bottles have ever been prettier than the original. I really think it’s one of the prettiest bottles I own.

agreed. And I so enjoy 24 Faubourg. N-M has the body cream & parfum, which I’d love to try.

The parfum is like the edp….just a bit more intense. So it may not really be worth the extra cash……
HOWEVER…I did not know there was a body cream……

          you haz my attenshun now.

The Jo Malone bottle looks like a designer collaboration bottle with Tommy Hilfiger 😛

Put a bow on it! (If you’ve heard them say “Put a bird on it!” on Portlandia) 🙂
