Well Robin, referencing the “The One” behind the scenes video.. it seems this is a trend.. disturbing music that suggests that a serial killer might appear from somewhere off camera… very “psico” this time.
Plus the boy (because that is a boy, not a man) on the ad is, to me, not masculine but VERY FEMME LOL! 🙂 that pout, that hairless body… that pout (again) Puh-leeze! hehehehe.

I am loving the smoky bottle version of the Bottega Veneta bottle, and I am looking forward to try this. The women’s frag was really great for me.

Seriously! A wee bit overly atmospheric, LOL…I thought a hand was going to reach out and hold him under water in the bath.

HA! Someone should have held the director under water for a minute…or two. Not a good week for video clips!

And the window thing…what is with shooting windows in highrise buildings lately? We need a tag for “staring out the window”.

The music is a deconstructed variation on Wagner’s Prelude to Tristan and Isolde The pouty model is certainly not virile Tristan. Maybe he’s supposed to represent the allegorical figure of Love. Or whatever….. At least he got good taste. Want to smell this one despite the silly ad

I love that ominous prelude – he totally reminds me of Kristen Dunst Blue Planet bathing in Melancholia!

One and a half minutes of inexplicable moodiness, lol!

I think I’m a bit offended for him at the comments here. What do you mean by he’s not a man? Are you saying because he’s too feminine he isn’t a man? If he works and pays his own bills is he not a man?

Also, this commercial did have a director, yes? So all he did was follow direction but he’s the one full of himself? You can’t win for losing

I had assumed it was a reference to his age…same as with many of the “young” ladies used in fragrance commercials.

I never took these comments to mean the actor/model was full of himself. I assumed people meant the character in the ad was full of himself and I think that’s a fair assessment.

Ok, LOL, that guy needs a girlfriend…he’s WAY too into himself. He’s kinda girly too. What was with the bath scene? For a sec, I thought he was going to drown himself with that music. LOL, ya, it was very serial killer like…and the serial killer in the movie appeared to be the Bottega Veneta bottle! LOL. Disturbing..kinda funny..but just weird. There was nothing macho about that…just weird!!!

Then it looks like at the very end he is plotting/thinking to kill someone! Fail Bottega! FAIL!

A little too much self fondling going on there….but maybe he just loves all his shaved-smooth skin…..nothing says “Masculinity” to me like pouty lips, baby smooth hairless skin , and long baths…..uh-huh.

I was waiting for the hand holding him down in the bath….yep, serial killer stuff.

Yep, and no way would he have time to spend admiring anyone else, so a big raspberry from here too!

This kid needs a mentor to show him how to be a man. I nominate the Old Spice guy. Who are these commercials targeting, anyway? I guess the costs are so high for everything else there is not enough money to pay for a shirt for the lead actor.

Maybe he could emulate Charles Bronson for Mandom?

Just a joke and, yes, it is disappointing to see a relative boy in ads just as I hate seeing all these prepubescent girls masquerading as women in ads.

Hang on… the press blurb originally said Bottega Veneta Pour Homme “was inspired by the outdoors”… I don’t see anything outdoorsy here, but maybe that explains the window…
