Michael Kors Gold Luxe ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 9 October 2013 8 Comments

Michael Kors Gold Luxe

Michael Kors has launched Gold Luxe Edition, a new flanker to 2011's Michael Kors Gold, which was a flanker to 2000′s Michael by Michael Kors (aka Michael Kors Signature).

It's the embodiment of luxury, evoking the glamour of pure liquid gold and the softness of the most luxuriant suede. Michael Kors Gold Luxe Edition captures the intriguing tension between crisp, light freshness and rich, embracing warmth. It is alluring, sumptuous and uplifting. Attention grabbing, she captures the gaze of the entire room. Subtly, elegantly, without airs. Definitively Michael Kors.

A creamy floral fragrance, the composition opens with a vibrant burst of crisp Hyacinth. What's in her heart is intoxicating and sophisticated, iconic Tuberose and Gardenia. Making a lasting impression is the finale. Richly warm and alluringly complex with creamy Sandalwood.

Michael Kors Gold Luxe Edition can be found now at Bloomingdale's, in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Hyacinth, tuberose & gardenia sound good to me. Never tried any MK scents–do they skew loud or quiet?

Somewhere in between…this is another variation on what was originally called Michael. If it’s too strong, try the original MK Gold, which was lighter than the original Michael, ditto on MK Suede — also a lighter version (with no leather).

I actually picked up a bottle of this..and i usually didnt care for the original because it was so heavy and strong., but this is just beautiful! No heavy musk, no heady strong tone…Its fresh, floral and has a slight wave of fruity gardenia and green petals on my skin and the drydown is still fresh and femme. One of the best versions out of all of them to me. 🙂

Flankers of flankers…where will it end?

Actually, I am disappointed at how few flankers of flankers of flankers there are. There are plenty of flankers of flankers though.

I sniffed this last night. It is actually quite pretty, a fresh opening with hyacinth and tuberose (I didn’t really get past the opening). I just pulled the scent card out of my jacket pocket and it smells better now than it did last night. If I needed a new floral I might give this a few wears.
