Guerlain Place Rouge ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 30 September 2013 8 Comments

Guerlain Place Rouge

Guerlain has launched Place Rouge, a new limited edition floral chypre fragrance celebrating 120 years of Gum, the Russian department store* on Red Square in Moscow.

Place Rouge was developed by Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser. The notes include bergamot, rosemary, orange blossom, heliotrope, jasmine, violet, patchouli and musk.

Guerlain Place Rouge is exclusive to Gum, and is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

*It was a department store, it is now a mall.

This sounds intriguing, but doubt it will ever pass my way.

Hmmm…though the list of notes don’t match up.

Oh sorry…totally WRONG on this one! Sorry!!!! It’s Quand Vient la Pluie!!! The Jasminora is Cour des Senteurs – the special edition for Versailles.

Yes, that one was Jasminora, but glad to hear what this one is! Figured it was a dupe of something.

So they’re rereleasing old perfumes in a fancy bottle (I personally do not the bottle design) in specific places as exclusive limited editions? I hope they release Samsara as a limited edition Washington DC exclusive with some kind name like L’Estomac des Illuminés or something mysterious like that.
