Eutopie No. 6 ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 24 September 2013 Leave a Comment

Eutopie No. 6

French niche line Eutopie has launched Eutopie No. 6, the brand's fifth fragrance. Included below are descriptions of No. 1 - No. 4, since we have not announced them previously.

With No. 6 by Eutopie, French perfumer Elodie Pollet has once again captured the impressions of her recent trip in an olfactory masterpiece. She places No. 6 under the motto, "The Journey to the East", which is also "A journey through the Russian soul".

She playfully and artfully combines the opposites and the ups and downs of the famous Russian soul to create a large overall composition. In the beginning masculine and strong leather notes along with balsamic-woody labdanum take the stage, to be contrasted in the next moment by feminine, sweet-floral geranium and essential nagarmotha notes.

Solemn and mysterious frankincense, reminiscent of venerable Russian Orthodox churches, marries the two protagonists. The richly equipped base appears with patchouly, cedarwood, musk and peppery accents as a soft, powdery, harmonious finish.

Eutopie No. 6 can be found now at First in Fragrance in Germany, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

The prior scents in the collection are...

Eutopie No. 1 (2011) ~ "EUTOPIE No. 1 is a well-balanced ‘mukhalat’ combining the delicate floral elegance of France with heady Arabian scents. The journey begins with the floral notes of jasmine, rose and a touch of anis, before traveling to the precious woods of sandalwood, cedar wood and tobacco. The final touch reveals the powdery notes of amber and musk."

Eutopie No. 2 (2011) ~ "EUTOPIE No. 2 is a ‘floriental’ fragrance with spicy, woody hints for a more authentic Arabic touch. Created for men and women, it is laced with ‘bakhour’, transporting wearers to the magical spice markets of the Middle East. The delicate floral notes of rose add to the scent’s interesting journey."

Eutopie No. 3 (2012) ~ "The new creation, Eutopie No3, captures the essence of the most precious ingredients, elegant woods & refined spices, as always interpreted with a French touch & sophistication. Eutopie No3 sets off on an olfactive journey that begins first with the powerful spicy notes of Saffron, Cumin and Juniper Berry, and then continues with an elegant blend of precious woody ingredients, Cedarwood, Agarwood, Sandalwood, Patchouly from Indonesia & Cypriol from India. The final touch reveals the essence of Amyris, Frankincense & Amber that superbly wrap the scent."

Eutopie No. 4 (2012) ~ "Eutopie no4 encapsulates the surroundings of the Mediterranean shore with a beautiful warm & sensual fragrance. The precious materials highlighted are typical of the Mediterranean region, natural Bergamote from Calabria in Italy & absolue of Ciste from Spain. The woody and smoky patchouly adds power to the top notes. The rose and violet give to the heart of the fragrance a very sensual touch. Finally, the base notes of amber, musk, vanilla complete superbly the scent and give to this new perfume the elegance and depth that has become the signature of Eutopie."
