Bath & Body Works will launch Amber Blush, a new fragrance for women, later this month:

Our exclusive Amber Blush fragrance captures the sensual warmth and luxury of a romantic getaway.

The notes include bergamot, mandarin, raspberry champagne, jasmine, gardenia, star anise, apricot, magnolia, creamy vanilla suede, crystalized amber, sandalwood and musk.

Bath & Body Works Amber Blush will be available in Eau de Toilette, probably in 75 ml. Shown above is the "limited edition preview" sample, currently available for $3.

Could be. But one of their ambers was really good. Of course now I can’t remember which one it was.

Sensual Amber? Chocolate Amber? Not sure if I have smelled those.

Might be the Sensual Amber. Or not.

My SIL brought Sensual Amber back from the States for a Christmas gift for my MIL a few years ago – if I remember it was a pretty woody-amber that my MIL, who wears No. 5, Burberry Weekend and Samsara, seemed to like a lot.

I do think it’s the blush part I am not feelin. I don’t like gardenia either.

I walked into B&BW with the intention of smelling this specifically, hoping it would be one of those scents you could layer a nicer fragrance on..instead, it smells like what Glade would market as “Amber”: Very clean, very sugary. I get a bit hopeful when the notes of the B&BW fragrances look a bit exciting, because in some case I’m pleasantly surprised, but unfortunately, this one is not even shower gel worthy IMO.

@Brigittetolson: “not even shower gel worthy” is precisely it! “Wanting a shower after a spritz” might also describe it:horrid fruitiness, and then no amber later, just boredom.

Why do I even go into BBW anymore? I don’t like *anything* enough there nowadays to even buy as a shower gel…
