I haven’t tried any Kenzo fragrances yet, but have been intrigued by some of them (Jungle L’Elephant is on my To Smell list).
I live in the U.S. and my favorite Kenzo is Flower Le Parfum. My two favorite fragrance commercials (can be men’s scents, right?) are the Charles Bronson ones for Mandom and the Isaiah Mustafa ones for Old Spice. I love the Mandom ads for sheer hilarity and the Mustafa ones for another emotion entirely.

I live in the US. It’s hard to pick just one perfume commercial that I like since there have been so many I like. I especially loved the Nicole Kidman Chanel No. 5 commercial done by Baz Luhrman. The ending shot of her looking over her shoulder was so beautiful.

I live in the US…….Kenzo UFO and KenzoAmour are probably my two favorite Kenzos. But what I have been dying to post is this question……why are perfumes getting pricier everytime there is a new release but not necessarly better and I think the prices for the Armani Limited Editions are absurd, considering I have tried those fragrances and they hardly last on the skin and are really not that fabulous. So why are we willing to shed out such absurd amounts of money for something that is not even that great. I think I have figured one thing out, the minute is says “Limited Edition” we throw all caution to the wind.

Kenzo Jungle L’Elephant is my favorite fragrance from Kenzo.
Although I find it difficult to wear on a regular basis, I love wearing it during the Holidays.
It reminds me of the scent of all the cakes and pies and delicious food available during that season.

My favorite kenzo perfume is jungle elephant. My favorite perfume commercial is the old chanel no. 5 one from the seventies…where the woman dives into the pool and the tagline is share the fantasy. I live in the U.S. and the only Kenzo fragrance I either own or have tried is Eau de Fleur de Soie. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Athough a pleasant enough scent, it didn’t smell of silk tree blossom.

My favorite fragrance TV commercial dates back to the late 80s:
A longer haired brunette (with a perm) Linda Evangelista is dressed in her 80s power suit with the shoulder pads and all.
She is accompanied by her two body guards. They all go into a temple where a not-so-honest man is apparently selling all kinds of animals and umm humans too!
Ms. Linda is presented with a gorgeous looking gladiator-type warrior. Instead of putting him in shackles to take him home with her, she grabs a small bottle of Opium, the red lacquered one with the tassel, opens it and runs the stopper on her neck and wrist. The enslaved warrior sniffs her arm and immediately becomes smitten. He submits to her without any resistance. The rest and what she does with that man at home are totally up to the imagination.
Now that’s real drama!
And that pre-reformulation version of Opium by YSL must have been bewitching enough to make the wildest most savage kind of male species surrender without resistance!

I live in the US and you may use my email address. My favorite Kenzos are all from infrequent sniffings at stores. I do not own one yet. Indian Holi, L’Elephant, and Flower are mighty nice. All fragrance advertising is enjoyable to me because it is such high drama in such short bursts. Big bang for a short burst. The Marc Jacobs Bang! ads were hilarious, though not intended to be. All of the dramatic, hollow-eyed gamine ads, with vacant visages in Wonderland surroundings are entertaining to me – but at their absurdity. Not at the ability to communicate anything effectively about a particular fragrance. The Saturday Night Live parody of Brad Pitt’s Chanel spot is probably my fav of all time. It’s a great portrayal of what everyone must be thinking when watching or directing vapid perfume circuses called advertising.
Show me the bottle, tell me how the product came to be! Discuss its journey! Then if it’s still absolutely necessary, direct a short and stylish spot that speasks to it’s true essence, not some over-done idea. I know it’s all about the image of who you are when you wear their fragrance more than the actual fragrance many times. But tell me the Real story, and the provenance of each bottle, like wine.
