Atelier Cologne will launch Silver Iris and Gold Leather, two fragrances in the new Collection Métal series, in September.
Silver Iris ~ with tangerine, pink pepper, blackcurrant, violet leaves, mimosa, iris pallida, patchouli, white amber and tonka bean.
Gold Leather ~ with bitter orange, saffron, rum, plum, davana, eucalyptus, gaiac wood, cedarwood, leather and oud accord.
Atelier Cologne Silver Iris and Gold Leather will be available in 30 and 200 ml Cologne Absolue, in bottles covered in "genuine precious metals" (not shown!).

I had a chance to try both last week.
Gold Leather is a boozy rum and leather that turns into spicy saffron and oud composition. Quite masculine but women will love it too.
Silver Iris is divine. On my it starts a little bit gray and lightly floral. A bit restrained and cold. After a while it evolves into a soft, sensual amber and creamy suede sensation. I can’t wait for this one to be launched and a bottle will be mine.

As for the bottles available, Silver Iris & Gold Leather will be sold in coffrets of 200ml + a 30ml petit flacon with a leather case and in lone 100ml bottles.
The NY store has testers out–Gold Leather is very warm and was too heavy for me during the heat wave but Silver Iris is really nice and is on my possible full bottle list –it reads a little more feminine on me than Iris Nazarene

I won 30 ml of Silver Iris! I can’t wait for it to get here. I have decants of most of the perfumes in this line. Grand Neroli is a summer staple. Even though I’ve never smelled Silver Iris I fully expect to love it!
Congratulations, the smell of Silver Iris is so good! That 30 ml is a lot. I’m definitely buying my own bottle when the perfume gets to Poland

These are certainly worth trying. I have samples of both and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I will likely buy the Silver Iris. It has this beautifully rounded iris that is sheer and avoids the bitter dirty hair note that many iris fragrances hit on my skin. It’s sweeter than ISM, lasts longer than Hiris and is more floral with less powder.
The Gold Leather was more difficult in the heat, but the dry down was nose glued to wrist lovely. I think it will be better for me in the fall/winter, with its oud/leather accord. It was just too dense for me in 97+F heat. I really love this perfume house’s scents. Many work well in my climate 🙂
I have only tried some of the ones that were part of the initial launch lineup. Are any of the later releases really worth getting my nose on?
I think you should get the entire sample set. This summer, Sous le toit de Paris has been my go-to fragrance and I am seriously planning to be perfumonogamous for vacation.
I love iris scents and I love leather scents. Two fat lemmings were born today 🙂

Oh gosh, the irises keep coming! I have not decided on Iris Nazarene yet and here comes another iris. Both of these sound like they are must tries!
Well, I didn’t see either of these mentioned on their website, but I went ahead and ordered their “complete sample set” anyway. All this love makes me curious!
According to the gentleman I spoke with, the official NY launch is Aug 15. ( not officially out yet so not on their website) and based on pre-ordering he expects their initial shipment to sell out quickly
