Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2013, part 13

Posted by Robin on 3 July 2013 11 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud Concentrée limited edition

From Acqua di Parma, a special edition of Colonia Intensa Oud Concentrée: "Assertive elegance, precious materials and craft make are combined in the sophisticated special edition created by Acqua di Parma exclusively for Harrods. A precious object adorned by a bottle holder made of fine, soft dark brown ostrich leather to enhance the uniqueness of this Eau de Cologne Concentree. The Acqua di Parma crest is discretely hot-stamped on the case in the same brown and bronze hues." £490 at Harrods.

Sisley Eau de Soir 12th Edition

From Sisley, another limited edition bottle of Eau de Soir: "This year's limited edition version of Sisley's Eau du Soir eau de parfum, created by Isabelle d’Ornano, is particularly luxurious. The 12th Edition, it is a deep emerald green decorated with gold and whisks us away into a rich, oriental world. [...] This bottle is crowned with a sculptural 18-carat matte gold-plated stopper designed by Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof, making this fragrance a true collector’s piece." £178 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Selfridges in the UK.

Stella McCartney, Stella print edition, 2013 python

From Stella McCartney, another trio of “Print Editions” of the original Stella Eau de Parfum (you can see the 2011 trio here and the 2012 trio here): "Inspired by the python-printed Falabella bag, Stella McCartneyreimagines Stella eau de parfum for the latest edition of STELLA The Print Collection. Capturing the vibrant energy of summer, each 30ml collector bottle is dressed in vibrant python print." £40 each for 30 ml Eau de Parfum at Selfridges.

MAC Turquatic

Not really a limited edition collector bottle, just new packaging for MAC Turquatic, although in all truth, most MAC fragrances come and go — if you want it, you might best buy it soon. At Nordstrom ($22-$49.50).

Can never get enough of these LE posts!
This year’s Eau de Soir actually looks worth getting! Last years red-purple combo was…..

I like all of them today except those Stella prints…those are not the best she’s done, IMHO.

I love reptiles, but reptile patterns on clothing and accessories (and those bottles) is tacky, IMHO — especially in neon colors. Blech.

I concur, one of my pet peeves is animal prints on clothing, accessories, shoes, coats and now perfume bottles! Yuck!

zero interest in an oud scent, but that AdP bottle is really good-looking.

I loved the last set of Stella bottles with the flowers on them! Unfortunately i’m not a big fan of the juice so I’m just fine with these being far less attractive:)

I like Stella, but don’t own or need it — so really we’re in the same boat 🙂

That Colonia Intensa Oud Concentrée! Price makes it a non-starter, but looks great.

I love the Sisley bottle, and if I bought perfumes for the bottles, that would be on my list.

The Stella bottles are awful – I like the bottles to at least attempt to match the juice inside, and python does NOT say Stella to me. (I also don’t think python really “captures the vibrant energy of summer.”

The Acqua di Parma bottle looks like Diesel Fuel for Life. 🙁

The Stella Mac bottles are spectacularly hideous.
