Original Penguin Reserve ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 8 February 2013 2 Comments

Original Penguin Reserve

American clothing brand Original Penguin has launched Original Penguin Reserve, a new fragrance for men:

Original Penguin may have made its mark in the '50s, but it continues to live on today. A fresh, aromatic chypre is the perfect blend of heritage, wit and style.

Reserve by Original Penguin opens with a refreshing blend of Italian mandarin, juniper berries, red grapefruit and an intoxicating Amaro Siciliano bitters accord. Infused with rich, dark spices like cardamom, clove and nutmeg, the scent seamlessly transcends into a warm, sexy dry down of sandalwood, sea moss, musk and amber.

Original Penguin Reserve is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

LOL, I just spit my coffee. I have visited a penguin rookery in Antarctica and they smell AWFUL! The overwhelming stench of penguin poop, rotting fish and decomposing bodies from both dead penguins and fish will send you reeling. Naming a cologne “Penguin Reserve” is hilarious. Oh I get the point but from my memories not a smell I care to repeat in any form. (Although the list of ingredients sounds lovely 🙂 )

Ha…presumably they named the brand Original Penguin before they thought about how it would work years later w/ fragrance 🙂
