Jimmy Choo Flash ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 21 December 2012 16 Comments

Jimmy Choo Flash

Jimmy Choo will launch Jimmy Choo Flash, the brand's sophomore fragrance, in March. Flash is about "the thrill of the red carpet, the fun of the nightclub, the glamour of dressing up".

Flash is an "ultra-modern white floral" developed by perfumer Christine Nagel. The notes include pink pepper, tangerine, strawberry, tuberose, jasmine, lily, heliotrope and white woods.

Jimmy Choo Flash will be available in 60 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products.

The whole thing is reminding me of MK Very Hollywood. Hope it’s better than that one.

Shouldn’t there be a “please no more pink pepper” tag?

The whole “pink pepper” thing sort of drives me crazy too! I feel like it’s the fragrance note equivalent of saying “feminine but not too feminine.”

Or maybe like telling women it’s ok to work out–they won’t become musclebound and mannish? (Do women still need that reassurance after all these years?)

I guess I just get irked at what feels like hedging–commit already! What’s wrong with black pepper? Oooh. Or Szechuan pepper?

I would LOVE a Szechuan pepper scent, especially if it had that weird numbing effect on your nose.

I like that idea, too. How about a cayenne pepper note?

Ha…probably, but it would be even more work than the no more oud tag!

Jimmy Choo Flash the ad – A man in a belted trench coat throws it open to reveal a bottle of the fragrance carefully arranged over his – well, you get the idea.

Just got a sample of this – and its nice………
Opens with a burst of warm floral tones – quite heady but then sort of disappears – sillage doesn’t seem to be up to much but I’ll keep trying. At the moment I’d say I wouldn’t buy it. But I’ll keep posting if its worth it:>)
