Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2012, part 20

Posted by Robin on 18 October 2012 10 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Bond no. 9 New York Musk Swarovski edition

From Bond no. 9, the Swarovski edition of New York Musk. $1000 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Armani Code, Couture edition

From Giorgio Armani, Armani Code in the Couture edition: "This is the first Armani Code Couture Edition. The Armani Code for Women bottle and the orange blossom scent within, are draped in a deep shade of black. Luxurious Swarovski crystals carefully highlight the orange blossom motif: a sophisticated bottle in homage to Giorgio Armani`s Couture. The outer box, inspired by a jewellery case, is a precious object in itself." £79 at House of Fraser in the UK.

Jimmy Choo parfum

From Jimmy Choo, a limited edition Parfum version of the signature Jimmy Choo fragrance: "With its opulent character, Jimmy Choo Parfum is a sumptuous re-mastering of the original fragrance for women who desire a more intense signature scent...The classic Venetian glass bottle is elegantly dressed in black color. The fragrance is packaged in a precious 'jewel box' enrobed in a black snakeskin print." 40 ml for $150 at Neiman Marcus.

Tova Signature limited edition

From Tova, Tova Signature "in a Limited Edition Bottle and packaging to celebrate Tova's 30th Anniversary." In 100 ml Eau de Parfum, $66 at QVC.

No lemmings here, which is good since I have no money! I think the plain Jimmy Choo bottle is prettier than this LE one.

Agree — don’t want any of these, and just as well. I do think the Armani Code bottle looks much more interesting in black, although hard to say what I’d think of it in person. I don’t always like crystals on fragrance bottles.

I have no idea what the perfume smells like, but I like the Jimmy Choo bottle. It looks sort of like a Venetian glass hand grenade.

They did a silver one too, a bit back…not sure I ever posted it here, but it looked even more like a grenade.

How naff is the Svarovski bottle! Actually, how naff is Svarovski, full stop!

The very successful rebranding of the Swarovski line is still mystifying to me. But just shows what you can do w/ the right marketing tactics.

The Bond no. 9 is beautiful – for a pin, cocktail ring, necklace. No one sees my perfume bottles but me, and that is too gorgeous to keep in a drawer.

I also agree with basia, the plain Jimmy Choo bottle is prettier, I think this one looks cheap.
