Disney Cinderella So This Is Love ~ new perfume

Disney Cinderella So This Is Love fragrance

Disney has launched So This Is Love, a new fragrance for girls joining the Disney Cinderella Collection at Sephora:

Become spellbound by the mesmerizing scent of So This is Love and leave a lasting impression. At first breath, fresh aldehydes shine like glass as they dance with warm plumeria and dewy hyacinth to create a top that is delicate and youthful, yet vibrantly dazzling. A magical bouquet of elegant tuberose, sheer jasmine, and exotic tiare flower crafts a royal, shimmering heart— the perfect fit for the belle of the ball. A background of soft, supple musk accord wraps you in the arms of Prince Charming. Sensual peach skin and velvety woods shimmer with luscious texture for a sensation that lasts long after the stroke of midnight.

Disney Cinderella So This Is Love is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum ($58), or in a 6 ml Rollerball ($19).

No cupcake? No vanilla? Aldehydes? Well, I suppose I should be please someone as big as Disney is creating something without baked goods or icing.

True enough! Although would be surprised if it wasn’t sweet.

I admit, that’s a pretty bottle. Looks like a Tocca. And the pumpkin coach on the label? Cute!

Actually the fragrance sounds pleasant too. I don’t have access to Sephora, so I’ll probably never get a nose on this, but it is nice to see a fragrance marketed to the young set that doesn’t play up its cupcake factor.

It looks very Tocca. Hate the rhinestones around the neck, but would guess they’ll sell the bottle.

Mals, this one has my name all over it – when I get my paws on some I’ll have to send some. 🙂

I am old, old, old; but I hope I like this. When I was little, I had a Disney Cinderella multi part mural on my bedroom walls and have a soft place in my heart for the story. I would love to like it enough to buy a bottle (not the Swarovski one though).

The princess thing is so weird. It seems like they’re marketing now to girls who grew up on the “Disney Princess” marketing behemoth.

It’s a bit strange to me. When I was a teen, I wanted to wear scary Urban Decay makeup (it was pretty new then), not pretty princess makeup marketed on the basis of a brand I loved when I was five.

Guessing this is not geared to teens but to younger girls, although I’m sure teens & adults will buy it too.

I would imagine it was aimed at 5-10 year olds, not yet aiming at independence and as yet without any interest in rebelling. But sentimentalists like myself will also be attracted (and others in the cute market).

That’s a good point! When I was a teen in the 80’s, it was all about faking some layers of darkness and mistery. Now, this is conformist to the point of being depressing, specially because it sounds like the smell will please the mums!

it sounds very Summer-y. Depending on if the sillage and lasting power is worth it I might buy this for my Summer-scent. I like plumeria and many years ago when I was just a girl I did buy a bottle of it at Disneyland at the Bazaar next to the Tiki birds….

I think this bottle is adorable! It certainly reminds me of Cinderella’s dress! The notes sound rather sophisticated for little girls… a sign of perfumistas to come?
