Marchesa Parfum d’Extase ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 August 2012 17 Comments

Marchesa Parfum d’extase

High-end womenswear line Marchesa will launch Parfum d'Extase, a new fragrance for women, in September. Parfum d'Extase will be exclusive to Sephora.

Parfum d’Extase was developed by perfumer Annie Buzantian. The notes feature iris, freesia, violet leaves, night-blooming jasmine, ambrox and musk.

Marchesa Parfum d’Extase will be available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum; a rollerball will also be sold.

Ach, the ambrox just killed this for me. It took some time to figure out, but this chemical is sure-fire migraine trigger for me : (

Hmmm. As fruffly as their gowns are on the red carpet, I picture something bland and sweet.

They said they didn’t want anything too sweet, but of course, we’ll have to see how it turned out 🙂

(and as usual, I don’t know the fashions, I’ll have to investigate)

The list of notes sounds really lovely and I do like the designer, so will have to check this out. It sounds like a really pretty floral.

Let’s hope! The bottle is a bit much for me.

Wondering how well that bottle will stand up to smudgy fingerprints. Methinks not very, though I suppose the testers at Sephora will demonstrate that.

It sounds doable, but I stopped buying frags at Sephora when I discovered this site. Still they win the awards…don’t get it. Is niche that big of a secret?

Just answered you elsewhere — I haven’t been to the mall in ages, but will go in a week or two. Tell me if it’s worth seeking out!

I have the “luxury” of working right across from a Sephora and this morning the poster for Marchesa is up.

I’ll go sniff it during lunch time today 😀

First sniff was not bad – but then I made the mistake of asking to try some on my skin and now I can’t get the headache-inducing madness off of me!

      🙁
