I might to for L’Occitane soap, but first of all I’m planning to get my mum an elegant decant of Prada Candy. She really likes it, but hesitates to buy a bottle as she says it’s too expensive for the budget (she’s a very thrifty person)

I’m thrifty too but lately I’m adopting the attitude that you only live once and as long as the bills get paid and there’s food on the table I’m going to buy what I want to buy if it’s something that will make me happy. Glad you’re going to get her some Prada Candy. That will be a very nice gift especially if she won’t treat herself. I wish my mom wore perfume. It’s shocking to me that we are polar opposites when it comes to fragrance. She never wears any and I am rarely without it.

Well, I must say I’m thrifty too, but I also try follow the path you mentioned. Self indulging is sometimes good

I had that Prada Candy decant in elegant purse spray for quite a long time. I guess since my mum smelled Candy for the 1st time and loved it, but decided not to treat herself with it.

I just bought my daughter the Candy set with 2 sizes perfume (toilette? Not sure) and lotion. I believe it was 100.00 at Neiman Marcus, a good deal and the last “set” until Xmas.

Candy is in EdP, I’ve never seen it in EdT. Maybe it was perfume, lotion and shower gel? Prada often does gift-sets with these 3 inside.
And surely it’s a good deal. Too bad we don’t have Neiman Marcus. I’ve got to check Sephora. And there’s still a chance I’ll get a -20% at Sephora for this Mother’s Day shopping

The L’Occitane butter sounds interesting and the cause is great. And the Santa Maria Novella powders look divine, although that’s kind of more than I want them to spend.

I’d like one of those rose shea butters myself 🙂

Oh, yes, do try it. It’s no Diorissimo, but it is very pretty and well-done.

Just tried it myself for the first time yesterday. I could not stop smelling my arm where I sprayed it. The longevity was a little wanting and I can’t even describe any distinct notes, it was just lovely! I’m going to let my mom use the rest of the sample and see if she wants it for Mother’s day. Maybe if I get her the package above, she’ll share! 😛

The last sample pkg. I sen to my mom contained Baiser Vole and that’s the one she requested for Mother’s Day – so good timing for that one! 😉

I think that’s the regular price for the 50 ml, so not a bad deal if you want a set & want to buy department store. Just looked though, and it’s already at discount — Fragrancenet & Perfum.com both have it cheaper, but not in a set.

Ooh, I’m very tempted by the Talborina… gardenia talc? and such a pretty, old-fashioned canister.

Santa Maria Novella is my night scent. After I have showered, I have the original, the zagara, the tuberosa, and Gelsimino???…jasmin I think. I wear it to bd and my husband awake or asleep always notices burying himself close to me. Real romance.
