*sigh* That was indeed my kind of porn. lol I found myself pausing and rewinding many times. Had to mute the Katy Perry soundtrack, though. Yeessh. (Apparently I’m old.) 😛

I love exsence: it’s a fun way to test new perfumes, and sometimes get a coveted sample.
And try old perfumes at the osmotheque boot.
And meet Denyse of Grain de Musc!
I never manage to try everything I want, though I always make a very tight shortlist, I end up missing something.
But I am so glad I discovered a couple of precious gems… One is Alahine: I might have fallen in love!

Only sometimes? Are they not generous with samples?

Not really: it depends on the brands. Montale, which is usually a very generous brand, never brings samples. Nor do PDN, ELDO, Patou…
But other brands do, and seem happy to share.
I don’t ask for samples at every boot though: I go in there very focused otherwise I’ll never survive – too much choice, too many imputs, too much perfume in the air!
Though it is open a couple of days to the general public, this event is not aimed at the amateurs, but is focused on business partnerships and deals. Those in the trade do not care much for samples, I guess.

So can anyone go if they pay admission or is it trade only?

There are two days for the general public: it is free, but you have to register on the website first.
The most interesting conferences are usually held in the days for business operators, but everything else is the same.

Swoon!! Is there a list of attendees anywhere? Dying to learn more about some of these ‘fumes. And WHAT what that bottle with the black lava oozing out of it! I want!
BTW, I had to mute Ms. Perry too…gah!

      Probably a list here:

I think the lava bottle must have been by Agonist.

I was so pleased when the music started with a Django Reinhardt sound. Then….Katy. Mute.
    LaMaroc-my kind of porn, too.
Was very happy to see Neela shining away. I just received her Discovery Set and love all three. Still cannot decide of which one I want a FB. Probably Mohur.

Man. Those Agonist bottles really are gorgeous. I’d like to see them in person sometime.

It looked like a lot of fun. I need to go back and pause at a lot of spots…and trot out my 1 year of university Italian. And where is Smellovision when you really need it?
Waiting patiently for my bottle of Jardin du Poete to arrive from Aedes – and the samples…
