Burberry Brit Summer Edition ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 13 March 2012 14 Comments

Burberry Brit Summer Edition

Burberry has launched Burberry Brit Summer Edition, a new limited edition version of 2003's Burberry Brit:

Burberry Brit Summer Edition is a surprisingly fresh and sparkling interpretation of the landmark green oriental fragrance. A cool Japanese Green Tea accord echoes with effervescent, playful top notes of Italian Lime, crisp Green Almond and Icy Pear. The heart notes reveal a sheer sweetness through sexy sugared Almond and lush White Peony. The dry down is a breezy blend of white Musk, hints of Amber and vibrating Mahogany Wood. An amazingly sensual combination, perfect for summer!

Burberry Brit Summer Edition is available now at Macy's, in 100 ml Eau de Toilette for $67.

Another fragrance with pear in it. Is pear on the list of trendy notes like pink pepper seems to be?

The original Brit was lots of pear, and it was 2003, so I’d say it’s been trending for awhile, just like pink pepper.

I like pear sometimes. I guess maybe I’m just noticing it more now because I pay closer attention to the notes than I used to.

Maybe it is center-stage more lately? It’s so hard to tell. I can think of quite a few over the past few years, but then again, there’s more of EVERYTHING the past few years. So who knows if the % of pear perfumes is up 😉

“vibrating mahogany”? Does it go “buzzzzz”?

      This made me laugh!!

Doesn’t look appealing AT ALL to me.

On an unrelated note (and something more suited to a weekend thread) – I had the most bizarre dream last night where I inherited several bottles of Dune and loved it. I don’t own any, but maybe this is a sign? ….

    Vibrating mahogany..mmm ok.

Actually, I am not a fan of the Burberry house..I don’t like their scents.

I liked some of the Brit flankers better than Brit…both Red & Gold (esp. Gold) were improvements. And I liked the Intense version of Beat.

I like Brit men. Wonder if there will be a summer version for it also.

Almost sure there is, but the women’s beat it to the stores for some reason.
