Yves Saint Laurent will launch Parisienne L'Eau in April. The new fragrance for women is meant to be a summer version of 2009's Parisienne.
The notes for the fruity floral include rose, green notes, vinyl accord, red fruits, cranberry, blackcurrant, patchouli, white cedar and musk.
Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne L'Eau will be available in 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.

I think I’ll never get the point of making perfume flankers with lower concentration than their originals. They usually don’t cost much less so why bother paying almost the same amount of money for less fragrant ingredients?
Presumably because you think it’s too strong for hot weather, even applied lightly — do note that it isn’t the same thing, just weaker. Although IIRC, YSL did ALSO do Parisienne in different concentrations.

I guess it’s not, but someone who believes that needs a lighter version for summer will probably be interested, I am not.

The notes don’t appeal to me at all – but then, the notes of the original didn’t either, but I quite liked Parisienne. However, I thought it was light enough already, so I won’t be in a hurry to sample this.
I actually like the smell of vinyl (mmm…brand new shower curtains) but I never got it from Parisienne. I got “acetone-free nail polish remover” and “burning hairspray” and AAAAAAH!MIGRAINE!!! and very little else other than some particularly sticky, sickly, plasticky smelling “fruit” and “flowers”. Like scented fake plastic flowers in a bowl of wax fruit on a coffee table polished with a fake-fruity-scented pledge knock-off next to a dusty bowl of melting down hard candy on a day hot and humid enough that even the varnish on the table is getting sticky and tacky.
Err…in short, I didn’t think much of the original. Maybe if they break it down. Do a series of note-centered flankers. I’d be willing to try Parisienne X-Vinyl.
For a fragrance that was already pretty dull and limpid to begin with, I’m not sure a “l’eau” is a good idea.
