A Lab on Fire What We Do In Paris Is Secret

S-Perfume’s A Lab on Fire brand has launched What We Do In Paris Is Secret, a new fragrance developed by perfumer Dominique Ropion:

At once an excellent team player and an imposing soloist, Dominique Ropion is considered by some to be the most technically advanced perfumer of all time. His profound knowledge of French perfumery and his singular versatility in creating scents are his critical contributions to many current significant projects. Wild at heart, he is not averse to executing surprising twists. What We Do In Paris Is Secret goes one step further. It unveils what lies under the perfumer’s virtuosic skill - the secret of a perfumer’s soul.

The notes include bergamot, honey, lychee, Turkish rose essence, vanilla, heliotrope, tonka bean, tolu, sandalwood and ambergris.

A Lab on Fire What We Do In Paris Is Secret is available in 60 ml Eau de Parfum, $110.

I’ve tried this one! Reminds me of Nicolai’s Kiss Me Tender…and a bit of Bulgari Blu Notte and KenzoAmour. Definitely a comfort scent. Lots of heliotrope and vanilla.

BTW – true confessions – I purchased a bottle unsniffed cause I was so curious about it! They also sent along a complimentary 15ml bottle of their L’Anonyme. Great deal, IMO! I’m very happy with the purchase. ..and the scent is really nice.

Is this brand trying to win an award for the longest, most pretentious title?
I suppose if it has low sillage, then it would be a “secret” “skin scent, when worn in Paris, or anywhere else.
Honey, vanilla and sandlewood do sound lovely together, but if that is M. Ropin’s idea of wild, let me make some of my famous warm milk and honey (with a little cognac) cold remedy for him.

I like the bottle, and the notes, not soon much the price, though it could be worse!

Really like the look and sound of this. In fact the whole website had me interested – soooooo cooool. What is not so cool is the price of international shipping.
