Demeter Chrysanthemum, Avon Urban Edge ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 28 November 2011 9 Comments

Demeter Chrysanthemum

Demeter has launched Chrysanthemum, a new addition to their Fragrance Library:

A must-have scent for those that love green florals.

Fresh and uplifting, like opening the florist's cooler and breathing in all the flowers, leaves and stems together. Truly like smelling the living Chrysanthemum.

Demeter Chrysanthemum is available in 15, 30 or 120 ml Cologne ($6 – $39.50), in 10 ml Perfume Oil Roll-on ($10), and in matching bath, body & home fragrance products.

 Avon Urban Edge

Avon has launched Urban Edge, a new fragrance for men:

Unconventional…Original…Irresistible. A charismatic, edgy new scent with a sensibility envied by men, craved by women.

Masculine patchouli and sexy suede with an irreverent twist of violet.

Avon Urban Edge is available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products.

SL de Profundis and now this Demeter. Two chrysanthemum perfume releases in one year. Who could’ve seen that one coming? Or maybe I’m just out of it – have there been other mum fragrances?

Trying to think of other chrysanthemum soliflores, and coming up blank.

Chrysanthemum? That is not a nice scent to me. I’d love to sample this but don’t expect much.

It’s not my favorite smell either.

Hmmmmm, very interesting. I might have to find a 15ml of the Demeter. Baby chrysanthemum tea is actually one of my absolute favorite teas, it would love to find a fragrance that was a honeyed version of it.

Now THAT is a delicious-sounding fragrance idea. I’ll take one!

honeyed chrysanthemum tea fragrance – mmmmmm,
straight-up bitter chrysanthemum fragrance – hmmmmm.

I’ll probably sample the Demeter Chrysanthemum though, to see if it really does smell like a florist’s cooler. The price is certainly right.

Does any man really envy Avon “sensibility”? – another hmmmm moment.
