BlackUp by BlackUp ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 November 2011 7 Comments

BlackUp Eau de Parfum

French cosmetics line BlackUp has launched their debut perfume, called simply BlackUp:

An addictive perfume with noble and warm aromas that unites the delicious tones of spices with the sensual trail of musk. It opens with sweet and fruity notes Blackcurrant, Carensac / Liquorice, Mandarin, Lemon), expresses its depth over a woody musk draped in voluptuous materials (Iris, Rose, Violet), and then melts into bewitching and powerful amber notes (Iris Wood, Amber, Patchouli, Praline, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Resinoid tolu). Rich and voluptuous, it covers the skin with a refined and irresistible veil.

BlackUp Eau de Parfum is available in 50 ml, and can be purchased from the BlackUp website.

The bottle looks really interesting, but I wonder if it will look as good in person.

Few bottles do, but I don’t know much about this brand.

This one sounds really nice; I like the idea of that particular sequence of notes, especially ones that are amongst my favorites (musk, violet, etc.), and that berry-ish top, too. i am also loving that bottle.

It does sound good, if perhaps sweet? Who knows.

It does sound fairly sweet. I keep meaning to try some lipsticks from this line, but don’t know if I’m ready to jump back into spending that kind of cash on makeup. Last I looked on thier US website (I think it was Friday) this wasn’t up, at least not yet.

Blackup is a French cosmetics company geared toward women of color and darker skin tones. This is their first fragrance.
