Nine West Love Fury ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 21 October 2011 19 Comments

Nine West Love Fury

Fashion footwear brand Nine West will launch their debut fragrance, Love Fury, in January, under arrangements with Inter Parfums. At the same time, they will introduce the Love Fury pointed toe platform pump, to "to illustrate the parallel synergy of footwear and fragrance".

Love Fury features notes of rose, mimosa, mandarin, red berries, tiare, jasmine, sandalwood, orris, musk, wood and amber.

Nine West Love Fury will be available in 10 ml rollerball, 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Love Fury was developed by perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Honorine Blanc.

What, no leather note? The sandalwood, orris and musk sound nice but I am suspicious of the sweetness of all fruit and sweet florals. Like the bottle though!

What exactly is the ‘parallel synergy between fragrance and footwear’ aside from the fact that they both smell??

Beats me, although it can’t be any different than fashion and fragrance I’d think.

True! And that has given us some lovely fragrances …

Perhaps we will be treated to a fragrance of feet?

The synergy I knew about… but I always thought Odor-Eaters were the answer. 😛

Bond No. 9 already did a shoe theme with Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue, and that didn’t smell like leather or feet or wool socks or nylons or anything else (it was a sort of floral gourmand).

But I really like this bottle. It actually makes me think (a little bit) of the bottle for Head over Heels by Ultima II (and there was a picture of a pair of high heels on the box), but that was kind of unintentionally awful because I always thought she was drowning in perfume.

Head Over Heels definitely had one of the silliest bottles ever.

If my daughter ever sees that bottle, she’ll have to have it regardless of the actual scent.

That probably explains the parallel synergy of footwear and fragrance as well as anything!

That bottle reminds me of the scene in Single White Female where Jennifer Jason Leigh puts her stiletto through the guy’s eye.

Is that sick? Maybe I’ve been watching too many horror movies.

“Footwear and fragrance”? Sounds like a stinker.

I’ve been a Nine West woman when it comes to boots for a LONG time and now I will definitely try this new scent. The bottle says it all and we claim the spike as our weapon of choice! Dead sexy!
