Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2011, part 14

Posted by Robin on 23 September 2011 21 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Nina Ricci Nina Snow Princess

From Nina Ricci, their popular Nina fragrance in the Snow Princess edition: "Winter is her favourite season. As the air is filled with snow flakes, trees sprinkled with golden dust and leaves...it's a magical moment." £52 for 80 ml Eau de Toilette at John Lewis in the UK.

Ricci Ricci Reflets Mystérieux edition

More from Nina Ricci: the Ricci Ricci fragrance in the Reflets Mystérieux collector edition. In 80 ml Eau de Parfum. (via news-parfums)

Thierry Mugler Alien Metamorphosis Collector edition

From Thierry Mugler, Alien in the Metamorphosis Collector edition: "Sassy and a bit audacious, Alien is dressed to perfection in amethyst with a Signature Couture Bracelet designed by Thierry Mugler and embossed with his signature. The undulating golden bracelet is the perfect accessory to illuminate the magic in every woman." 60 ml Eau de Parfum, $120 at Dillards.

Thierry Mugler Angel Metamorphosis Collector edition

And a similar set for Thierry Mugler Angel: "The star is magnificently transformed into a mannequin, dressed with a striking Couture Bracelet that will transform you into the most glamorous diva. The bracelet shines with a zamac star, embossed with the Thierry Mugler signature. A leather-like pouch is included to protect the celestial jewel." 25 ml Eau de Parfum, $80 at Macy's.

Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia Silver Edition

From Giorgio Armani, Acqua di Gioia in the Silver Edition. 100 ml Eau de Parfum, $80 at Macy's.

I wish Michigan winter was “a magical moment”……instead it’s 6 months of “craptastic cold” just thought I’d mention that.

LOL…I’m with you on that, even though our winters are surely milder than yours.

I dunno…my mom lives up just north of Scranton on a mountain side and her winters seem pretty craptastically cold too!

Hee hee. I think that “magical moment” stuff is meant to appeal to those of us who live in mild-winter climes. Snowflakes – we’ve never even seen them . . .

I lived in the South for a couple of years ( near Danville, Virginia and then in Dallas) and I do recall the excitement of “wow, look! it’s SNOW!” ….especially some of my classmates from southern Mississippi , Florida and South Carolina—had never seen snow before! However , I grew up in Montana and upstate New York….that “awww pretty snow!” phase is about 5 minutes.

My mother grew up in Bozeman and my father in Billings. Both moved to California in their twenties and said they’d never be able to live with Montana winters again. . .

Lol Daisy. Yeah, it stops being magical around January or February when you can’t go outside without losing feeling in your fingers and toes. 😉 Still, masochist that I am, I’ll take that over 98 degrees with 85% humidity in July. 😉 Hugs.

Winter should end January 2nd and summer should end July 5th! The rest of the time should be a reasonable 55 – 75 degrees! 😉

I don’t know. I live in Michigan and I am way past being a kid (I qualify for the senior discount at some restaurants); bu those first flakes and that first dusting of snow are still magical for me. I do get over it pretty quickly though.

So is the gold bit on the Alien bottle a removable cuff?

Oh, there’s another ugly ( and painful-looking) bracelt on that uninteresting Angel bottle.

I only see sharp bits of glass once that bottle gets banged around a bit. Sharp bits of glass and sliced fingers…..

I like the snowy apple Nina Ricci bottle, but I’m not buying it. then again, I might actually cave. then I’d want the original to compare it against. ahh
