According to the 2011 Shape Magazine Beauty Awards, the best Men’s fragrance is Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Edt, and the best Women’s fragrance is CK Beauty EdP.

Guilty Pour Homme won because “spicy notes of pink pepper and patchouli exude sophistication, making it ideal for occasions that call for a coat and tie.”

Beauty wins because “the powdery lily-laced fragrance is feminine without being cloying or overly girly.”

Just in case you were waiting for their opinion before you bought a new scent. . . 🙂

HA…actually I think I just decided that Shape should not be making any perfume decisions for me! Thanks.

Yeah, that’s pretty much my response to the entire Beauty Awards!

In the September issue of InStyle:

Vera Wang Lovestruck is part of the What’s Now! section (p. 180). Face of the fragrance, Leighton Meester is shown with the bottle and gives a small list of “sights and sounds that make her swoon.”

The Beauty section devotes a page to six new fragrances (Waiting to Exhale, p. 436). Photos and small blurbs for Cartier Baiser Vole, Coach Poppy Flower, Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude, Chanel No. 19 Poudre, Balenciaga Paris L’Essence and Prada Candy.

Salma Hayek Pinault lists Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Alkemia oils among her “Top Must-Haves” (Beauty p. 443)

Clean Skin eau de parfum is one of the Editor’s Picks (Beauty p. 450).

Penelope Cruz says her teenage dream was “to be like Isabella Rossellini in the Tresor ads, which were so beautiful and unique. I am very proud to be the ambassador for the Lancome fragrance.” (On My Mind, p. 636)

    Scent strip: Jimmy Choo

      Thank you so much!

And was wondering why Salma Hayek was in both magazines — then remembered she’s starting a beauty line. Aha.
