Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2011, part 13

Posted by Robin on 8 September 2011 19 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Crystallized Fracas

From Robert Piguet, crystallized versions of their iconic Fracas perfume. At left, a 60 ml bottle of Fracas Parfum "elegantly embellished with delicate Swarovski crystals along each facet of the bottle", with crystallized stopper and a "sleek black piano box to complete the lavish presentation". £700.  At right, a 1 liter edition with more crystals, £8,500. Both at Harrods in the UK. (via press release)

Lolita Lempicka Eau de Minuit

From Lolita Lempicka, the latest version of their Eau de Minuit: "Indulge in the magic of the witching hour with the limited edition Lolita Lempicka Midnight Couture Black Eau de Parfum, a velvety scent with a voluptuous character." £60 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Escentual in the UK.

Bvlgari Man Silver limited edition

From Bvlgari, Bvlgari Man in the Silver limited edition: "Charisma and charm redressed; experience a limited Bvlgari Man who is clad in molten silver." £57 for 100 ml, also at Escentual in the UK.

Martin Margiela Untitled silver

From Martin Margiela, Untitled in a limited edition silver bottle. 50 ml Eau de Toilette, due to launch later this fall. (via basenotes)

I would get the tweedy Fracas in a heartbeat. And to think, I was just telling a fellow perfume lover that I’m less influenced by marketing these days.

A litre of Fracas perfume? The mind reels.

    Love the Lempicka bottle.

A 1 liter bottle of Fracas?

How would they ever ship that to you. Certainly, it would be classified as a toxic chemical or weapon of mass destruction.

    Gag.

LOL at “weapon of mass destruction” — I adore Fracas, but it’s true!

LOL – There IS actually a postal limit for maximum quantity to ship perfumes for domestic use. I don’t remember what it is, but a liter does sound like it might exceed.

I haven’t worn LL in years but I completely covet that bottle. My inner goth is in love.

I hope the LL Eau de Minuit smells good, because I don’t think I’m going to be able to resist buying it for the bottle. Adorable!

I am a huge fan of (and owner of) the original Lolita Lempicka, so there is hope.

Lempicka wins this round, by a mile. That bottle is too fabulous for words. The Fracas doesn’t strike my fancy at all; Swarovski studs are too easy a gimmick, and they rarely photograph well. I’m sure it’s prettier in real life.

I cannot remember the last time I liked every single bottle in a “LE Collector Bottles” post. This time, I do.

That Bvlgari bottle is very nice.. very Art Deco.
I don`t like that this, like the original, doesn´t have an actual cap. 😛

Have always loved the original LL bottle – hope the black one is opaque so that one could keep it on the dresser!

I have the original LL, not because I like it but because of the bottle.
Now I feel I should have this one no matter what it smells like.

Love that LL bottle! Haven’t smelled this version.

A liter of Fracas?? (runs away)

Hmm, I love the MMM paint-dipped bottle so much I don’t know if I like the silver version.

ooh the Lolita Lempicka caught my eye. I had the eau de toilette once but my mum threw it away because “it’s for girls” lol. I like the eau de parfum more than the eau de toilette.
