      I think that would be ok with Calvin Klein, you know? But this is too boring/same-y, and too similar to the last CK One commercial.

    I completely thought you wrote, “Bunch o’ skinny young folk folk-dancing around in various stages of dress/undress.” So I had to click! Have to admit I was disappointed when there was no folk-dancing.

    Is it a sign that I’m getting old that all the flashes and edits hurt my eyes?!

      And the fact that the music annoyed me is a sign of MY advancing age. All of which, I’d think, is good news to CK.

    Had to see the skinny young folk – now I have to ask, “where is the Shock?” This hasn’t been shocking since the ’70’s.

    It would be interesting to hear what the marketing people were thinking (for all who saw the BBC series on perfume and the hilarious “loud” brief), would it be something like “all young people want to be thin and dance under influence”?

      Oh, I thought it was “all young people want to make out with strangers on the dance floor” !!! I know, I know, I sound old, but GEEZ, put some clothes on, people!

      I saw that too, and it was pretty hilarious to me. I’m in the target demographic and I couldn’t believe what nonsense it was!!

      Then again, I wear L’Heure Bleue, so maybe I’m not really the target demographic…

    I get it now, the Shock part is that there is a cK One for Her and a cK One for Him.

    However derivative this ad may be, it’s a far cry better than the ludicrously misguided bandwagon-jumping campaign for IN2U. The dubstep-ish music and faux-VCR presentation indicate that CK’s marketing people have at least a vague idea of what “the kids” are into today (although it’s not hard to imagine seeing this same ad in 1999).

    Also, For Her and For Him…wouldn’t that make it CK Two, then? I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t come up with an interesting fragrance that rides the unisex divide, particularly in this age of seemingly ubiquitous niche scents aimed at neither gender. They did it in 1994, for cripes’ sake.

      I’m assuming I’m the targeted demographic, and 90’s nostalgia is pretty big right now.
      I also don’t understand why this isn’t a unisex fragrance.
      I still haven’t tried CK One but I do like CK Be.

        Yeah for the 90’s nostalgia vibe they should have just re done the original CKOne ads, those were ICONIC to me, the black and white awkward all in a line thing, so much cooler than this.

    LOL. I don’t think they’re just dancing there… at least in the beginning. ^^;;
