Posted by Robin on 16 July 2011 17 Comments

Miller Harris La Pluie

British niche brand Miller Harris will launch two new fragrances, La Pluie and La Fumée, in September.

La Pluie (shown) ~  "an exotic rain storm with lots of white flowers and a secret rain cloud accord"; notes include bergamot, lavender, mandarin, mimosa, jasmine, ylang ylang, orange blossom, vetiver and vanilla.

La Fumée ~ a "smokey woody swirl that surrounds you – perfectly addictive!"; notes feature cistus, geranium, cardamom, coriander, cumin, elemi, papyrus, birch tar, incense, sandalwood, cedar and amber.

Miller Harris La Pluie and La Fumée will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

La Fumee sounds very attractive, I might have to check it out. I wonder if they are back to producing Fleurs de Sel and Vetiver Bourbon. They haven’t been available on their website for awhile, and I’ve been worried that perhaps IFRA standards had demanded a reformulation. I hope not, because I love both, but especially Fleurs de Sel.

La Pluie sounds intriguing. Wonder what secret rain cloud accord is like. And La Fumee sounds wonderful for winter. It’s never too early to think ahead, is it?

Same here. La Fumee seems wonderful.

Reading the title thinking of something else, I thought there was just one fragrance called “rain & smoke” now THAT would have been very interesting…
